#asknostr - anyone know who made the Zap Me a Coffee website: https://zapmeacoffee.com/rustypuppy-nostrplebs-com ?

This is a Lightning based version of the kofi site. Very, very cool! Would be a good example to show folks that zapping sats is as easy/easier than fiat payments.

Could also help a lot of #artstr - I know many have kofi pages, as I did a few years ago.

Thanks to

Depending on your time zone, you can still vote for a creator to win a sat award for making public domain content for everyone to enjoy. 🎨🎶✍️

There are a lot of sat rewards for code. This was unique in that it was about culture, and didn’t specifically have to be Bitcoin or Nostr related. Some of the proposals are, some are not. All are by folks who have listed Proof of Previous Work, which you can see on the linked webpage. ✅

Can I hear a wahoo? 🤩

#photostr #v4v #nostronly #nostr #grownostr

For those living in the future (

👋), March 31st is the last day to cast your vote for the creator who gets the sat prize and makes an open source things anyone can use/reuse/remix. 🎨🎶✍️💜🫂

Proof of previous work shown for each creator at the webpage linked below. ✅

Voting closes in 2 days!!! Help decide which creator wins the sat prize and produces something all of us can use.

Sharing at a different time so everyone can have a chance to vote. 👍

There are 7 proposals (including mine) that outline what each person will create if awarded the sat prize. The final creation will be public domain and fee for anyone to remix/reuse as they wish.

Voting is open through the end of the month, March 31st.

Had a lovely morning coffee/tea with my sister and her husband. ☕️🍵

Then shopping for new art supplies. 🧑‍🎨

My family is not Nostr folks, so since they aren’t going to vote in the

Creator Contest, I’ll ask you to please review my and 6 other folks’ proposals and vote for one to be awarded a sat prize and create something everyone can play with in the public domain. 🙏

Good Morning, Monday!

Voting is open until March 31st for the

Creator Contest v.1: https://satosh.ee/blog/open-source-culture-creator-contest-1-voting/ - if you go to the webpage on your phone, my proposal is the crazy long one, so best to turn your device 90 degrees/landscape to read it 😅

There is a sat prize, so I’ll be noting about this all week. 🐶🎨✍️

Here’s a copy of my proposal for the

Creator Contest v.1 ….

I will write and illustrate a book called “The Wandering Portal Emporium: Invitation and Introduction.”

Similar in concept to “Thieves’ World” created by Robert Asprin, “Wild Cards” by George R. R. Martin, or the Dungeons & Dragons Open Gaming license, this book defines a fantasy, shared-world setting.

Structured like a travel guide, I will create locations, characters, environment specifics, and information on how a creator can use this book as a reference if they wish to create related open source works.”

I made a PDF of sample writing and art, which you can find on this webpage, along with the other folks’ proposals: https://satosh.ee/blog/open-source-culture-creator-contest-1-voting/

Voting is now open and runs through March 31st - more info at the URL mentioned above.

Not sure when on March 20th the #zapvertising stops, but you have until March 22nd to submit your proposal. Open to any kind of #creator and #artstr

Took me about 3 days to come up with a concept and write my proposal. You’re probably faster than me so you could still get your proposal in before the deadline. If not, thanks! I have a better chance of possibly winning. 😬

Great range of #photography here, and a working example of how #nostr can support creatives in a way no other social media can. ⚡️

My favorites are the close-up boat, trees and buildings, and daffodil stairs.

I have a set of art tools I use all the time: pencil, pens, scissors, ruler, glue stick, clips. They can get buried in the accumulated stuff that ends up covering my art desk when I work in a project.

I’d seen

promote his fabric watch and pen rolls, and asked if he was open to a custom order. I sent him a sketch and he created this!

Now my most used tools have a home above my art desk and I’ll always be able to find them. 😍

Scott is an excellent nostrich to work with. 5 ⭐️. Would buy from again.

Got an email that I earned $0.52 USD royalties on the sale of one of my microfiction collections last month. It will be added to my total balance of $4.86, and once that amount reaches $10, they will give me my money.

1. Thank you to whoever bought my writing. I assume it was someone here because these collections are a few years old and this is the only social media space I actively participate in.

2. Thank you to those who have bought the Kairos art & poetry collection

   npub16jad3sj…0zq4nn

and I created. We’ve been paid more than $0.52 each, immediately. More info on that here:

3. Thank you to the devs who make my Nostr experience so valuable. Here I can connect directly (and get paid directly) for my creative work in real time….

Added some of my favorite #artstr

Who will you add?

#grownostr #plebchain #nostr #v4v

I have 2 ebooks for sale at various online stores through draft2digital. They are collections of my microfiction stories: one with illustrations, one without.

My royalties for September are $0.52 USD. Not bad considering I don’t promote them and they’re several years old. But that 52 cents is loosing value.

At today’s BTC price, that’s about 827 sats. And those sats gain value.

This is why I’m so excited about Nostr as a way for artists of all kinds to be able to connect directly with those who appreciate the creative work. People who are willing to toss a few sats in appreciation.

As

said, “People want to support the stuff they love, and they're willing to pay for it. Not all people, but ~4% of them. And that is enough.”

I’ve focused on art since joining Nostr, because a picture is worth a thousand words: someone decides almost instantly whether or not they like what they see, whether they zap in that moment or not.

Those thousand words (or in the case of my microfiction, 300 words) take time read, maybe even think about, in the midst of scrolling through all those other short notes and photos and visual art.

I think stories are a harder sell, regardless of the means of payment. But it’s something I want to explore next year with Nostr.

products at StoreOfValue.eu again: https://www.storeofvalue.eu/collections/bitpopart

There was an error for shipping to the US that has been fixed, so if you want to support a small biz vs. a big POD, this is the place.

Just ordered 2 tshirts, dark chocolate, and a mug. 🎉

You can pay with sats or fiat. The best of all shopping experiences.

I’ve been on nostr for 1 year. Seems shorter. A lot has changed, but the core things are the same: I am my own algorithm and if folks find value in what I note, they can let me know with value, and I can do the same for them - something that doesn’t exist in any other social medium. 👍💜🫂
