Rustypuppy

This looks like a great effort to help creators have their own gallery & shop website vs. relying on platforms like Wordpress.

Too technical for me, but I love seeing these kinds of efforts to create tools for artists to be more independent and connect directly with their audience.

Depending on your time zone, you can still vote for a creator to win a sat award for making public domain content for everyone to enjoy. 🎨🎶✍️

There are a lot of sat rewards for code. This was unique in that it was about culture, and didn’t specifically have to be Bitcoin or Nostr related. Some of the proposals are, some are not. All are by folks who have listed Proof of Previous Work, which you can see on the linked webpage. ✅

Had a lovely morning coffee/tea with my sister and her husband. ☕️🍵

Then shopping for new art supplies. 🧑‍🎨

My family is not Nostr folks, so since they aren’t going to vote in the

Creator Contest, I’ll ask you to please review my and 6 other folks’ proposals and vote for one to be awarded a sat prize and create something everyone can play with in the public domain. 🙏

Good Morning, Monday!

Voting is open until March 31st for the

Creator Contest v.1: https://satosh.ee/blog/open-source-culture-creator-contest-1-voting/ - if you go to the webpage on your phone, my proposal is the crazy long one, so best to turn your device 90 degrees/landscape to read it 😅

There is a sat prize, so I’ll be noting about this all week. 🐶🎨✍️

Many thanks to nostr:npub1yxqdukmj70wlhwf6vg3fwkwcxmgdalahgsl7lcpka8gvs4xkew3s7p3a6x

Here’s a copy of my proposal for the

Creator Contest v.1 ….

I will write and illustrate a book called “The Wandering Portal Emporium: Invitation and Introduction.”

Similar in concept to “Thieves’ World” created by Robert Asprin, “Wild Cards” by George R. R. Martin, or the Dungeons & Dragons Open Gaming license, this book defines a fantasy, shared-world setting.

Structured like a travel guide, I will create locations, characters, environment specifics, and information on how a creator can use this book as a reference if they wish to create related open source works.”

I made a PDF of sample writing and art, which you can find on this webpage, along with the other folks’ proposals: https://satosh.ee/blog/open-source-culture-creator-contest-1-voting/

Voting is now open and runs through March 31st - more info at the URL mentioned above.

note.

There is a sat prize for the winner of the contest. There are requirements for voting.

Not sure when on March 20th the #zapvertising stops, but you have until March 22nd to submit your proposal. Open to any kind of #creator and #artstr

Took me about 3 days to come up with a concept and write my proposal. You’re probably faster than me so you could still get your proposal in before the deadline. If not, thanks! I have a better chance of possibly winning. 😬
