I don’t know if I can work harder or more hours - long push of 7 days a week through June - but with the price going up to 81k it’s even more motivation to stack this year.

A couple of weeks ago I told a friend who has a bit of bitcoin that the bottom might be in. He thought not. We’ll see.

Have a great day!

I'm a bit surprised how many people on the left are so happy to see bitcoin dive. For the my guess is the equation is...

Trump = Bad Tump = Crypto Crypto = Bitcoin

I know I live in a bitcoin bubble, but I didn't realize how many people would be so happy about the decline.

Oh well, time to get to work and mine some fiat.

Have a great day!

Busiest work period of the year is done. I hosted a conference for 200 people and it ended yesterday. Great energy in the room and great speakers. But I’ll be taking 2027 off as the opportunity cost is high and it’s a lot of financial risk to put on the event.

Long story short, great to be back here 😀

Enjoying some coffee before a workout and a meal with the kids. We’re playing a new game tonight called Azul.

Today is always one of the most challenging work days of the year.

I host a conference for 200+ people this weekend. We arrive on site tomorrow and even though it’s more work, you start to see the attendees and it’s exciting. Today is just work and some anxiety about the event.

A good friend just sent this text:

“I know that you will navigate the day with a relentless positivity despite any and all last-minute challenges sir.”

Feeling very blessed to have friends like him. And I can’t wait to see him in 36 hours.

Mediated for 21 min, walked the dog and dictated the notes for a presentation I’m giving in two weeks to a couple hundred people. I’ve got to knock out the slides the next two days and then get the file sent to the printers Monday. Every day that gets pushed back is a $100 or more to get them printed. As my college buddy would say before competitions, “It’s go time!”

Also, have I mentioned I dislike the daily cold shower?

I created this article yesterday - started the work talking to different AI models - including the new one from

- while riding my bike, then finished it after dinner.

Inflation is a killer if it’s high, and it’s likely going to be higher than what we’ve had in the U.S. the past 30 years.

Here’s a key point:

“The difference between 2% inflation and 5% inflation over 50 years is the difference between needing $270,000 per year at age 100 and needing over $1,000,000 per year to maintain the same lifestyle. That’s not a rounding error. That’s the difference between leaving money to your kids and running out at 85.”

It was fun to put together. At some point I’ll try to create a model for how much bitcoin you need to retire.

I hope the last day is 2026 is a nice one for you!

I had a wonderful moment during my 21 min of meditation.

Memories of a friend who died 30ish years ago popped up and I laughed out loud at one of them.

He pulled off the “roommate switch.” He went from dating one coed to dating her roommate soon after, and the first young woman was happy for both her roommate and my buddy. He was far from a ladies man - or so we thought - and we were shocked when he was able to pull this off so elegantly. It was awesome.

Really nice way to start the day. 😊

The middle schooler and I feed the goats this morning. It was a ton of fun.

“So where can you spend the stats?” (they kept saying stat…)

“Well, I paid for the 1/4 of a cow we’re getting with sats.”

“But where else?”

“There is a coffee shop that accepts the sats.”

First significant snow of the year. It’s super wet and the drive to take the kids to school was a mess. When the older one drove off in their car I said a little prayer. 😬🙏🏻

Big next 10 days for the business. The economy in the U.S. is crap for most folks, and for the people I serve things are tight, so I’m assuming sales will be down from the past two years. Gotta build the new business after the holidays, which is exciting.
