Braiins → DATUM → OCEAN

"Set up the node first. Then point Braiins at it. Build blocks on OCEAN."

If you're curious about renting hash, check out this guide. Unless I'm missing it the creator is unknown, but a huge thanks from this pleb to them for putting it together.

Got a new board for the kids and for me to do little chopping jobs from

Matches the big board I got from him a while ago.

There are so many things that are worth the sats, and his boards are at the top of that list for me. The wood is dried using bitcoin miners. #heatpunk ethos.

Now I just need to keep cookin’ for the kids!

Does anyone know why it’s been 4 days since

mined a block?

For Sale: Canaan Avalon Nano Q

Lightly used - I’ve only run it for a month. Runs consistently at 95 TH/s (above the 90 TH/s they advertise). Minor dust from operation, otherwise excellent condition.

Retail: $1,776-1,899
Asking1,500,000 sats (~$1,320)

Free shipping (ground, ~7 days and $2,000 insurance included)
 Mining with

Pool: typically 5,000-6,000 sats/day, sometimes 10K, occasionally skips a day or two (this is normal with their payment system).

Only selling because in my new place this heats up one room really well but I can't integrate it with the furnace system so the upstairs heating is off.

Obviously happy to answer any questions. DM if interested.

Reposts appreciated 🤙

✅ walked the dog ✅ cold shower
✅ 21 min meditation ✅ fancy coffee poured

I’ve got a full day ahead. Hope to be able to watch some college football tonight as a reward for a solid day’s work.

The two miners are heating the house - the furnace isn’t running. 😀 It’s not cold yet so once we get below freezing at night I’m sure that won’t work, but it is fun. The only issue is that the big one is noisy. The small one is a really nice mix of hash, heat, noise. Canaan Mini3. 👌🏻 135 TH/s total.

Have a great day.

This might be a dumb question, but does anyone know why

is finding so few blocks in the past couple of week.

I track this with

and check it 1-2 times a day. It’s fun.

There have been times when it’s been as many as 4 or 5 in 24 hours. For the last two weeks it’s 1-2 in 24 hours.

I’m setting up a new home Canaan heater from

tomorrow. I want to support nostr:nprofile1qqsq9k04vahllseell55m74n3047y88pzlr0z5yany32st29fapqmgsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsm60rnh, but this seems like a problem.

I don’t know how to build my own block template, FYI, but I can talk to someone who can likely help me.

I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a purchase with sats as I am with the boards and other items from

I’ll let the pictures do the talking. I bought the big board, the #bitaxe stand and the keys tray. He threw in the small board which I’ll use for garlic and onions.

The boards are cherry and over time, with oil/beeswax applied monthly, the colors should deepen.

This wood was dried with excess heat from miners! Check him out to see then workspace with the wood in there.

I always wanted a nice cutting board and to get one with sats is awesome. Thank you nostr:nprofile1qqsxknlx3frewqqzhmhef6kvzrcgmah4qeu7dvtfg9uwsmqwxq6yvnqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumrp0qckgatyv5hxuet59uq3uamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwfjkccte9eskcem0w3jkx6pwd9hj7rj20la 🙏🏻😀👊

I’m curious what people who currently do hosted #mining think of the math below. I was looking at

and I know some others here have used them. #asknostr

As it says in my profile, I’m late to bitcoin, and that also means I’m late to hosted mining.

I’ve been running the numbers on projected difficulty between now and the next halving.

Here’s some rough calculations…

By April 2028 the ranges three AI’s give are as follows:

Claude: 312 T base case

ChatGPT: 265 T - 842 T is the range, with 476 T as the base case

Grok: 404 T base case

So I think I missed the boat on this.

I still plan to do some home heating - as much of a hobby as for ROI.

I’d love to hear what others have to say or if they can create a reasonable model that makes the case for hosted mining. And I don’t want to go the US tax code depreciation route. I’m not convinced of the argument that you can set up an LLC but keep the sats nonKYC.

…and yes, I’ve spent too much time doing this. 😬😂

I’m fascinated by all the heat reuse projects people come up with. This one is so cool.
