Orange Dad

Good morning 😀👊☕️

Today I’m aiming to be kind, useful, and grateful for the chance to coach my oldest kid’s sports team the next 9 months.

This is the best article I’ve read on nostr in the handful of weeks since I’ve been here. It might be worth your time. (I zapped it but for some reason it’s not showing up).

Good morning 😀👊 ☕️

Some light reading to start the day 😂

Good morning 😀👊☕️

I’ve walked the dog and played fetch. Then I did 21 min of mediation and took a cold shower. Got some fancy coffee beans and a free coffee.

I’m aiming to be useful and kind today, and to make a big dent in selling things I don’t need and purging for a move next month. This move is going to be a blessing, but first it’ll be a pain in the ass 😂

Good morning 😀👊☕️

The dog and I have walked and we played fetch, I’ve mediated for 21 min and taken a cold shower.

God willing, I’ll be signing a lease today. Better neighborhood for my kids, but it’s an increase in rent. It’s even more motivation to make sure the next business is successful.

✅ Walked the dog and played fetch with him ✅ 21 min (much needed) meditation ✅ Cold shower ✅ Fancy coffee

I’m aiming to be useful and kind today, and aiming to keep an open mind about an impending move to a new rental home. Wish me luck on that one!

Today I’m aiming to be useful and kind. Lots of driving today for the younger kid’s activities - I need to relax and take it easy in traffic.

A friend of mine shared this affirmation he’s been using:

Setbacks and struggles are part of the process. And the process works.

I love that.

Good morning 😀👊☕️

✅ Walked the dog ✅ 21 min meditation ✅ Cold shower ✅ Fancy coffee ✅ Zoom call with friends

Today I’m aiming to be grateful, especially with work this evening (and be grateful to have work). And I going to give myself permission to relax, in part so I’m excited to work this week.

When I got on #nostr a few weeks ago I found out that

is a #penstr guy and a fan of Hugh MacLeod. I found this gem as I was purging some books last week. What a treat to have good coffee and a good book on a sunny Sunday.

Good morning 😀👊☕️

• Walked the dog
• 21 min meditation
• Cold shower

Today I’m aiming to be kind and curious as I interact with other bitcoiners in the flesh at w conference at

and to have a beginner’s mind.

I’m aiming to be kind and useful today, and to get clear on what useful means to and the rest of 2025. And I need to be compassionate with my middle schooler tonight - they’ll likely be tired and grumpy.

Good morning 😀👊☕️

✅ Walked dog and played fetch ✅ 21 min meditation ✅ Cold shower

Today I’m aiming to be useful and kind, and to hit the pillow satisfied with the day’s work. And get in a bike ride.

Here’s a book I read every morning. Pressfield’s “The War or Art” is a must read for anyone staying a new project, as well as people in the arts.

“The Daily Pressfield” explains the steps an author goes through to bring a book into the world, but this process can be applied to anything where you’re creating something out of nothing.

What a treat to start the day with a bit of Pressfield wisdom. And the illustrations are exceptional too.

I’ve got the warmed up

cold brew in my favorite mug so the work day can begin.

Today I’m aiming to be useful and kind, and exceptionally productive. And I need to get in a bike ride, even if it’s a short one.

…and if time allows I’m going to take a stab at my first long form article.

✅ Walked the dog and played fetch with him ✅ 21 min meditation ✅ (brief) Cold Shower

Aiming to be kind and useful today, and aiming to stay curious about what that could entail today.

Today marks the real start to Q4. I’m both excited and a bit fearful about what I have to do, and the numbers I have to hit, to provide for my family and stack. But it’s fun to be here and check in.

…and there is no way I’d be doing the cold showers if I didn’t feel accountable to the GM note and wanting to post a ✅ 😀😂

✅ Walked and played fetch with the he dog ✅ 21 min mediation ✅ (brief) Cold shower ✅ Fancy coffee

Lots to do today. I read what

has on tap today and it reminded me that people on nostr do meaningful work on Saturday. I don’t see that “on the outside” as much.

During meditation I had the realization that a HODLer is a unique breed of human and that on nostr everyone I’ve bumped into is one.

Dog duties done, kids are out the door (testing for teen 1). I’ll meditate mid-day to continue a humble streak.

It’ll soon be too dark for a morning photo with the dog playing fetch. Fall 🍂🍁

Good morning.

I’ve walked the dog and we’ve played fetch. I’ve meditated for 21 minutes. The fancy coffee is made so it’s time to get cracking.

I’m grateful to have work and a way to make a living.

Good morning 😀

The dog and I have walked and played fetch, I’ve meditated and prayed.

Today my aim is to be both useful and kind. I’m a bit under the weather so I’ll pace myself with work relative to a typical Monday.
