Friday 13 Dec (12:00 CST) - Abel James
"When he’s not writing New York Times bestsellers, recording new episodes for his award-winning podcast, or launching #1 food and health apps, Abel James likes to make music. He is a multi-talented madman. As a musician and songwriter, Abel has toured internationally, jammed with superstars, and won several awards for vocal performance. Earlier this year he made his album “Swamp Thing” available on Fountain. Ever since, he has become increasingly passionate about this new movement and attracted attention from new listeners with his fat, rocky blues sound." - Fountain FM
Stay tuned for our friends FM Rodeo, Ainsley Costello, and Suzanne Santo hosting in the days ahead leading up to our live show at Antone's on 12/16!

What an epic weekend in Nashville.
The energy, excitement, and innovation of this community reminds me of the early days of the internet in the best way possible.
Bands of Bitcoin and the
and
concerts were absolute highlights of the weekend.
Incredible to meet and hang with so many of the insanely talented OG musicians in this space -
, Martin, Andy, and many others - you all rock!
Perhaps what surprised and impressed me most about these musicians and builders was the lack of ego, creating a spirit of collaboration over competition.
This meeting of the minds might just change the trajectory of how we create and share music for years to come.
Leveraging technology to exchange value is a heck of a lot more fun and interesting than being exploited by centralized platforms in an algorithmic race to the bottom.
I started dipping my toes into Nostr and uploading tunes on Wavlake just a few short weeks ago, with little understanding and no expectations.
Now it’s clear that the paradigm is shifting rapidly, and incumbent platforms like Spotify could be rendered obsolete thanks to this motley crew of early adopters, artists, and builders.
Shout out to JL for inviting me up on stage for a spontaneous songwriting session. Jaw-dropping to see what you and your band came up with on the spot!
Jim and Julie, thank you for creating such an epic event, sharing my tunes on your podcast, and for inviting me to fill-in as guest MC for #bandsofbitcoin.
I was totally starstruck when the one-and-only podfather and (accidentally) shared my cameo as guest MC from Bands of Bitcoin on the Podcasting 2.0 show!
Big props to Sam and Michael at Wavlake, Nick and Oscar at , from Tunestr, Jim and Julie Costello from , and everyone else who made this incredible weekend happen.
Thank you all for the warm welcome to the valueverse and for changing the game.
Let’s all make some music in Austin soon!

The music industry is ripe for disruption, and it's happening.
I very recently hopped into the #valueverse by releasing a full album... and I'm suddenly stoked about the future of music.
We just got word that “Live While I’m Alive“ is the #1 track on the music charts on Fountain.fm!
In a lovely twist of fate, a top podcast called This Week in Bitcoin by
featured “Live While I’m Alive” on this week’s episode, and the track shot to #1 shortly after.
A few more podcasts featured tunes from Swamp Thing, including Upbeats from
, Sats and Sounds by
, Mutton, Mead and Music, and even the Lightning Thrashes Metal Show from - you all rock.
A week later, we have 4 tracks charting on the Top 100 on Fountain with a few more on the WavLake Top 40!
WavLake and Fountain are at the cutting edge of podcasting and music streaming, and it's epic to have an alternative to Spotify that’s more friendly to both artists and listeners.
Big thanks to the devs, podcasters, artists, and listeners who are making the future of music just a little bit brighter. ⚡ ⚡ ⚡
