Have you ever had a concussion?

Anyone who’s ever had their bell rung knows recovery can be brutal.

But with enough time and the right treatment, our bodies also have the remarkable ability to heal.

Today we’re going hard in the paint on brain health, electromagnetic fields and decentralization in tech, food and finance with our friend Tristan Scott.

is an electrical engineer, health marketing lead at

and author of Bitcoin and Beef.

After suffering from debilitating long-term symptoms following multiple concussions sustained as a college athlete, Tristan made a commitment to healing his brain. This led to a deep dive into the world of alternative health, exploring the critical roles our diet, circadian rhythm and electromagnetic environment play in our health and performance.

I met Tristan in Austin last year at Squatch while feasting on delicious beef grilled up by our friend Johnny Ochoa. From our first conversation, it became clear why Tristan has become a rising voice and leader in the world of alternative health and tech.

Tristan’s expertise in electrical engineering gives him a unique perspective on the often-overlooked impacts of EMFs, and how we can reclaim our health and sovereignty in the face of the technological onslaught of the modern world.

What an epic weekend in Nashville.

The energy, excitement, and innovation of this community reminds me of the early days of the internet in the best way possible.

Bands of Bitcoin and the

and

concerts were absolute highlights of the weekend.

Incredible to meet and hang with so many of the insanely talented OG musicians in this space -

nostr:npub13qrrw2h4z52m7jh0spefrwtysl4psfkfv6j4j672se5hkhvtyw7qu0almy nostr:npub1a377f258tzafuzdgezwjw4aplg8ze3suyzm40t6j4czcjvwp5vls5d5r4w nostr:npub1jp9s6r7fpuz0q09w7t9q0j3lmvd97gqzqzgps88gu870gulh24xs9xal58 nostr:npub17yemy3hswcelmcdgjsfn4sns4wr4q5ptvj5h08qt4s7fy2qe3hdqsczs99 nostr:npub1l3y60kjywvrrln5ftse553h2ltg53sm3zy55grvlncd78x3k5uqsmw8dff, Martin, Andy, and many others - you all rock!

Perhaps what surprised and impressed me most about these musicians and builders was the lack of ego, creating a spirit of collaboration over competition.

This meeting of the minds might just change the trajectory of how we create and share music for years to come.

Leveraging technology to exchange value is a heck of a lot more fun and interesting than being exploited by centralized platforms in an algorithmic race to the bottom.

I started dipping my toes into Nostr and uploading tunes on Wavlake just a few short weeks ago, with little understanding and no expectations.

Now it’s clear that the paradigm is shifting rapidly, and incumbent platforms like Spotify could be rendered obsolete thanks to this motley crew of early adopters, artists, and builders.

Shout out to JL for inviting me up on stage for a spontaneous songwriting session. Jaw-dropping to see what you and your band came up with on the spot!

Jim and Julie, thank you for creating such an epic event, sharing my tunes on your podcast, and for inviting me to fill-in as guest MC for #bandsofbitcoin.

I was totally starstruck when the one-and-only podfather nostr:npub13ql75nq8rldygpkjke47y893akh5tglqtqzs6cspancaxktthsusvfqcg7 and nostr:npub1pvdw7mm7k20t9dn9gful8n5xua5yv8rmgd9wul88qq5dxj80lpxqd39r3u (accidentally) shared my cameo as guest MC from Bands of Bitcoin on the Podcasting 2.0 show!

Big props to Sam and Michael at Wavlake, Nick and Oscar at nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5, nostr:npub1a6c3jcdj23ptzcuflek8a04f4hc2cdkat95pd6n3r8jjrwyzrw0q43lfrr from Tunestr, Jim and Julie Costello from nostr:npub1t6njrhtc9q3f5wdrwfrhpypq3kes5mpdx4u4rw9w2pxjanuxcpkqveagv3, and everyone else who made this incredible weekend happen.

Thank you all for the warm welcome to the valueverse and for changing the game.

Let’s all make some music in Austin soon!
