Who’s a good boy? 🐶💐

Beautiful #dogstr from a #nostr #artstr

Reminds me of one of my favorite Discworld passages between Vimes and Angua …

"He was largely blue, shading to green, with overtones of garlic."

"Yes," said Vimes, "but as a human who doesn't happen to be a werewolf with her nose half an inch from the carpet? What colour is he?"

"Ah," said Angua. "Brownish."

I follow We Rate Dogs on IG and #seniorpupsaturday is a thing, so here’s my mom’s senior pup, Dante.

He’s 12 (we think, he’s a rescue), mostly blind, mostly deaf, growing lumps, but still in true (silver) black lab fashion, always wants something to eat and jumps for his dinner bowl.

Day 20/24 - #catstr and #dogstr whimsy pieces!!!

Impressed they got the whimsies to look like the breeds in the image. 👀

The 2 pieces near the front-facing cat whimsy had lasers cuts for whiskers, so I put those together in the first photo.

Happy National Black Dog Day!

This is Dante, my mom’s rescue black lab. He’s a little more silver these days, but still a good boi.

Last pen drawing of #dogstr theme in my 4” x 4” sketchbook.

This month and this topic was the first time I felt I wanted more space to sketch. Interesting feeling, as the reason I went down to a little 4” square sketchbook was because I didn’t keep up a daily drawing habit in a larger format.

Not sure what I’m doing for August, or in what sized sketchbook.

New month, new sketchbook theme.

Attempting to draw dogs, and going in knowing most will look extremely wonky because I’ve never drawn dog breeds before. 🦮🐩🐕‍🦺

But thats what a sketchbook is for: to experiment. 📒

Week 2* of the

Internet Magic Series has Mascot Madness (turn your pet into a playing card). I don’t have a pet, but can Photoshop a playing card. If I can use your pet, reply with a photo of your animal. Will tag you when I post the final image and can send you a hi-res/printable file if you want.

All pets welcome … except spiders. Sorry. And please don’t post a spider (no matter how cute) to this note. Thanks!!!

• this is me planning ahead because 1) I can’t help it, and 2) if anyone sends a photo, I need time to create the image.
