Put a lot of effort into building a orderly and productive vegetable garden this summer.

Some mistakes were made and a lot was learned.

Next year will be better. Thinking of adding a small greenhouse.

Also looking into canning and dehydrating as the next step.

Here is today’s harvest - and there’s plenty more coming in the weeks ahead.

Such a good feeling to eat your own produce. Escaping the system one small step at a time.

Have a garden, Buy Bitcoin - Be ungovernable.

I sat completely still in my canoe for a long time today. A very curious beaver eventually swam right up to me - and there we were, just staring at each other. A little magic moment.

Follow-up on yesterday’s happy beaver - it was back at work this evening!

Love that little wood chip on the forehead :-)

Considering the recent dip in Bitcoins price and overall turbulence and panic, I remind myself why I from the outset invested in Bitcoin.

Bitcoiners often talk about Bitcoin as a rabbit hole... NO!, it is the opposite.

You were born in a rabbit hole - the fiat world. A whole system set up by banks and the elites to keep you under control and them in power. When you start to learn about Bitcoin, you are digging yourself out of the fiat rabbit hole. This is why, as you learn, you feel less limited, less stressed, less constrained, more free and hopeful.

You are leaving behind a world governed by murky politics, shadowy figures, centralized power, propaganda and bondage - a degenerate and collapsing world built on empty promises. And you are entering a world built on truth, math, decentralized influence and unlimited potential and creativity.

This is why Nostr feels like a positive place full of creatives and free thinkers - people here are hopeful, feeling the warmth of the sun, seeing the horizon and breathing fresh air. You are crawling out of Plato’s cave and entering the sunlight for the first time.

Welcome to the real world!

It's a new dawn

This storm shall pass - hunker down and ride it out. HODL - be defiant and ungovernable - FUCK'EM!! ... and if you can, buy the dip.

Last night the Moon rolled over the hills right by my house.

Stood there for a while with the camera, just watching it climb over the trees.

These quiet moments are becoming my favorite part of living this close to nature.

The sun peeks through the cloud cover on a windy day in the high mountains. Pure winter serenity.

#nature #naturephotography #winter

Just returned from teaching a nine-day high mountain winter course. Woke up in my tent this morning at -15°C. I'm home now - and once again, I'm surprised that sitting on a chair, a warm wood stove, and a hot shower can feel like an extravagant luxury.

Most people are more comfortable than former kings and queens - very easy to forget that!

This picture shows my sense of the world for the last five-ish years - it has been a 100 megaton clown bomb.

I’ve changed a lot of my core views. I honestly feel like a different person now. I’m flabbergasted by the state of the world - especially the West. I work in academia and have seen the stupidity and arrogance of many academics up close. Living in Norway, the recent corruption revelations just added another 50 megatons to the clown bomb.

What’s kept me sane: discovering Bitcoin, the people in this space, my hobbies, nature, my pets, real one-on-one conversations with folks who can still think critically… and yeah, this place right here on Nostr. There’s a ridiculously good collection of those people here.

As the Chinese curse goes: “May you live in interesting times.”

By golly, the last five years have been interesting. Can’t wait to see what’s next…

Rant over - you may proceed 🙂

During a recent walk along the frosty river, the first sun hit the cat tails and created a little moment of everday magic. Little balances the mind well as calm and quiet nature walks - just my take. https://blossom.primal.net/b7451d463ecad17a12458dfe084b6ad98737b437e9a6eafd408eacbc0186aa75.jpg #nature #naturephtography #frostymornings #stoic #stoicism

I lost a good friend today.... My 18 year old cat - Nalle - died in my arms at the vet this morning. I have spent the day lighting a fire on the ground to melt the frost so I could dig a hole.

Now he is resting in the ground in the forest, where he went on his many adventures. I buried him in a woolen blanket with a little toy mouse and a little picture of me - so he will not forget. I will visit him often

What a day.... I am drinking wine!

Here he is some years ago when he was on top, and the king of the forest.

RIP my little buddy!

To the pet owners out there - cuddle your friend tonight, they mean more than you know once they are gone.
