During a recent walk along the frosty river, the first sun hit the cat tails and created a little moment of everday magic. Little balances the mind well as calm and quiet nature walks - just my take. https://blossom.primal.net/b7451d463ecad17a12458dfe084b6ad98737b437e9a6eafd408eacbc0186aa75.jpg #nature #naturephtography #frostymornings #stoic #stoicism

This oak might be dead, but still standing and defiant to entropy, even in death.

I call this photo "Reflection"
I took this photo in early October two years ago. It was a very grey and calm day. The whole scenery seemed so peaceful and serene. It reminded me just how small we are in the big scheme of things.

I call this photo "Solitude."
I took it in the Norwegian mountains a few years ago. I remember the day vividly. Cold but not freezing, with a stillness that only fresh snow can create.
Coming upon this little birch, I felt it standing alone but not lonely... solid, firm, and stoic in its quiet aloneness.

Embrace the wilderness in you
I have been playing around with double exposure, this photo turned out the best.

I don't know about you...
I, personally, have this eerie sense that we might be facing some serious global chaos in the near term - even more than what we see already.
I am reading up on the Stoics and came across this quote from Marcus Aurelius:
"To be like the rock that the waves keep crashing over. It stands unmoved and the raging of the sea falls still around it"
Prepare your mind to handle turbulence, chaos, and not knowing what is going on - prepare to be a rock, reflecting your calmness to those close to you.
NB: Facing these times with Bitcoin in cold storage feels quite comforting.

From a misty day... I really like the calm atmosphere in this photo. I think a depiction of a true stoics mind would look something like this.
