Found old demos and unfinished songs from a concept album I started to write back in 2014. This video snippet is from 2016 where I catched the idea of the closing theme. I think I will go back to these songs and finally record everything. 😅

My own Podcasting 2.0 music player silently launched under https://podtunes.app
It's meant to be easy to use without too much technical details about Lightning payments etc. so that people outside of our V4V bubble can explore the Valueverse.
As a first step, I deliberately chose not to require users to register. Just browse the catalog, listen and enjoy.
I will post more details in the next days. Feel free to check out this current built and please keep an eye on
's podcast "V4V Music Spotlight" where I also talk about the web player in the upcoming episode!
Enjoy and spread the link with your normie friends! 😅

Got something cooking. Will release a first version of my music player soon. Easy to use and straight forward in order to reach more listeners with the music from the open podcast index and hopefully spread the idea of the V4V philosophy even further.

I recorded this trio live to 8-track tape and did some overdubs in a 2nd step (vocals, additional guitars). Their cover version of "Believe" was tracked completely live (except the acoustic guitar). Everything mixed analog too and grabbed the master stereo out digitally for a quick mastering with Ozone.
Check out and enjoy! Next studio session with my mate Crischa from South Germany ahead this weekend. Will be fun too!

Dear V4V music lovers, I got something for you! I just released a 3-song EP with the demo recordings of some previous singles. I recorded those demos in December of 2021 on my digital multi tracker before producing the final analog versions in my studio two years later.
Check these out, they do have slightly different lyrics, a pretty raw sound and especially "Here For You" comes in a more ballad-esque style then the original single version.

New single release "Der Fetzer" by Ric Sattler! The 2nd song from his live album "Westerwald Blues Live" is now available on the Valueverse.
The song is about the German robber Mathias Weber aka Der Fetzer (1778 – 1803, English "The Shredder"). Recorded and mixed analog to tape as a hybrid live and studio production.

Looking back, 2020 was a very productive year for me. I released two singles ("Remember" and "Leo's Lullaby"), one EP ("Time Revisited, Pt. 2") and my short-form concept album "Nine by One". This album was what really got me to switch to producing exclusively in analog from then on. But all those releases in that year where produced with limitations like recording into a simple multitrack recorder instead of a DAW.

My fellow Ric Sattler released his new live album "Westerwald Blues Live", recorded and mixed as a hybrid live/studio production by me with my beloved Fostex 8-track tape machine. We recorded his gig as a duo with his guitarist live on tape. I added drums and bass tracks later in my studio. I think we captured a pretty organic sound. I still need to convince him to release this as a Podcasting 2.0 feed. 😅 But if you want to check it out already, here's the YouTube version: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nO8fl3zbxFo7XLfRpnb0cN0uVaxENtX2M

Let's share some songs that currently give you goosebumps. I'll start with "Nothin' But You" by The Lemon Twigs. Totally dig this verse riff. 😍

Dear followers and lovers of analog tape recordings, I finished another energetic short song called "Save Me Tonight". The instruments were already recorded in late 2024 and I finally added the vocal tracks this year and did the mixing just a couple of days ago. As usual, the song was recorded and mixed all analog onto tape in my home studio. The lovely vintage cover art was crafted by Spencer Robens, Hamburg. Play it loud, play it several times and enjoy!

New song "Save Me Tonight" finished! Tracked backing vocals and mixed the whole thing yesterday. Really like how it turned out. Raw and energetic. Cover design currently in the making by my favourite artist Spencer Robens from Hamburg. Can't wait to release to the Valueverse. Watch this space next week!

In 2020 I recorded the shortest concept album in history with 9 songs, 1 minute each. It's a distopian story with a spiritual twist. Recorded analog with an 8 track cassette recorder in our living room. Check out "Nine by One" on Fountain or any other v4v podcast player.

Greetings from the "Old Oak Studio" from where I supply the #valueverse with analog #music recordings. 🫡 Currently mixing down a concert I recorded to tape for my friend Ric Sattler. In 1998 I released my first self-produced album titled "Time" on home-burned CDs and sold several copies to my friends and schoolmates. This album was recorded on an 8-track hard disk recorder with only a couple of low budget mics and me not really knowing, how to handle all this. 😅 But this production and those 10 songs were sort of a starting point for me to keep writing and recording my own music ever since.
20 years later I found that multitrack machine in the attic and while checking it's functionality I thought it might be fun to re-record one of those old tunes again on that same machine. Just for testing purposes. But this was so much fun and so I started to do new interpretations of all of the songs! I recorded as simple as possible on those limited 8 tracks and the outcome: 2 EPs released in 2018 and 2020 titled "Time Revisited, Part 1" and "Part 2" with new interpretation of all 10 songs – re-imagined and re-recorded.
This process reminded me of how creative and pure joy a recording process can be if I stop starring on a computer screen, clicking through countless plugins, dealing with technical problems and instead just record straight into a simple multitrack machine with no distraction. I never did any recordings on a computer/DAW since this project. I took it even further, I built myself a studio with just analog gear and analog workflow from production to mixing with an old console and and 8-track tape machine. I love it!
If you want to listen to my "Time Revisited" project, I combined both EPs together to one album and published it as Podcast 2.0. You will find this one on Fountain under https://fountain.fm/album/WVDL1LMN9AZCZyD7RMC0 or https://v4vmusic.com/?album=cmltgm2z65hfiod0i9a4frq0z
My personal favorites are "Coming Home" and "Goodbye '99". Enjoy!

In 2019 and 2020 I wrote several songs for a studio project called "Gilligan". In the style of the peak britsh rock era of the mid/late 90s we recorded two EPs with two different band line-ups. Only me and my drummer played on both releases. We recorded all the songs in his studio and even did the basic tracking for the 2nd EP as live takes.
