Christian Leuenberg

Fun and productive recording session with CRISCHA this weekend at my studio. We tracked a new song he brought in straight to tape.

If you want to take a listen to the final results of the recording session here at my studio with "The Indiekram" from Cologne I did in July, check out this playlist at Soundcloud:

I recorded this trio live to 8-track tape and did some overdubs in a 2nd step (vocals, additional guitars). Their cover version of "Believe" was tracked completely live (except the acoustic guitar). Everything mixed analog too and grabbed the master stereo out digitally for a quick mastering with Ozone.

Check out and enjoy! Next studio session with my mate Crischa from South Germany ahead this weekend. Will be fun too!

Today's recording session with "The Indiekram" from Cologne went pretty well. Tracked all 5 Songs live to tape. Overdubbings coming up tomorrow.

My fellow Ric Sattler released his new live album "Westerwald Blues Live", recorded and mixed as a hybrid live/studio production by me with my beloved Fostex 8-track tape machine. We recorded his gig as a duo with his guitarist live on tape. I added drums and bass tracks later in my studio. I think we captured a pretty organic sound. I still need to convince him to release this as a Podcasting 2.0 feed. 😅 But if you want to check it out already, here's the YouTube version: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nO8fl3zbxFo7XLfRpnb0cN0uVaxENtX2M

Dear followers and lovers of analog tape recordings, I finished another energetic short song called "Save Me Tonight". The instruments were already recorded in late 2024 and I finally added the vocal tracks this year and did the mixing just a couple of days ago. As usual, the song was recorded and mixed all analog onto tape in my home studio. The lovely vintage cover art was crafted by Spencer Robens, Hamburg. Play it loud, play it several times and enjoy!

In the studio again, tracking vocals straight to tape for my next single. 😎

In 2020 I recorded the shortest concept album in history with 9 songs, 1 minute each. It's a distopian story with a spiritual twist. Recorded analog with an 8 track cassette recorder in our living room. Check out "Nine by One" on Fountain or any other v4v podcast player.

Back in the studio. Mixing some hot blues tracks I recorded live to tape with the Ric Sattler Band end of last year. Need to convince him to release on the valueverse. 😅 #music #analog #taperecording https://video.nostr.build/1ee931d7bdf1facbc3faa615a215f6dcaa6af4b403c3c27edd12203160d9ae74.mp4
