Currently running only a single #GrapheneOS mobile device (Pixelnd a single netbook (System76 Lemur Pro w/ Secureblue).

There is a good chance I retire the netbook completely by 2030, since I'm no longer writing code and, more importantly, because the mobile ecosystem has surpassed desktop so completely that the desktop app ecosystem will never catch up or be properly supported.

I think a Motorola folder running #GrapheneOS and then a Lapdock for tasks that require more productivity, potentially a standing desk with a hub and a large monitor and mechanical keyboard + cam/mic as well.

One device. That's all that the average individual really needs. And perhaps a home server next to their router/satellite setup.

Note I have been running Fedora Silverblue, an atomic #Linux distro, for years now and am quite fluent.

Jumping directly to Secureblue will probably be quite difficult if you have never used Linux or Silverblue.

Early days for secure Linux, but the advent of atomic distros which contain the architecture needed to catch up to mobile OSes like iOS/Android/#GrapheneOS are finally stabilized enough to allow Secureblue to emerge.

In 2026, the Optoma Cinemax D3 will be released. It's a high end-home, short throw theater projector with no smart features or internet connectivity.

Evaluating #MapleAI as a replacement for #Grok, because even Grok is powerful and easy to use, I know that my history will be archived and later used to generate a social score, which will affect my permissions in society.

Maple doesn't, can't, spy on you. It's much more suitable for home use. Assuming it meets the bar, I will have my wife migrate.

At some point I can imagine a "young adult / kid mode" where the father trains the AI as to what bounds are acceptable for those still in the household.

Currently using through the browser (Vanadium) on #GrapheneOS. Very minimal, but solid foundation. I look forward to an OSS app that can be installed directly via Obtainium and, ideally, #Accrescent.

Predictions for Coming Decades. 🤔

1. AI and robotics will rapidly, on the order of one or two decades, displace most careers, even as new vocations emerge, and higher education comes into question.

2. The population will be dialed down by a factor of 10-100x. Most of this will be indirect and has already been accomplished.

3. The white race will join the jews in becoming a small, international minority. Sponsorship of American blacks through welfare and social justice will, by all practical measures, be abandoned. Tech Asians and Indians will pivot hard into AI but be late on Bitcoin, setting them back dearly. Hispanics will return to LatAm which will be more desirable in terms of freedom. Indians in healthcare will be replaced by automation and Indians in call centers will pivot to AI scams before ultimately returning to poverty before being phased out to reclaim India's natural habitat.

4. What remains of the useless/welfare class will continue to be monetized/productized by the ruling class, whether as lab rats, organ donors, sex slaves, and as insurance against extinction. Many will be employed in the vocation of 'terreforming' the world back to a green, natural state under the guise of environmentalism before they are ultimately phased out. Weather warfare and vaccines will be used to covertly sterilize, maim, and kill poorer population's using a broad, impersonal brush. Cancer centers and other exploititive industries will loot these populations on their way out.

5. Political rhetoric will abandon the far leftism of the last 150 years, shifting back to moderatism (as internationally cooperative populist factions), which will temporarily feel 'far right'. Nothing about Gov agendas in the greater sense will change, just the marketing.

6. Micro states, for the elite and scrappy freedom minded, will mature on the political stage. Federalism in the US will provide relief for crafty families seeking refuge from an unlimited police state.

7. Nuclear power will finally begin advancing again in large and small capacity. Batteries will become better and more ubiquitous. Solar will become the poor man's decentralized energy. Efforts to propagandize carbon fuels will be abandoned.

8. #Bitcoin will replace gold and at least half of all capital will find it's way into the network, but probably more. Families who move now will ultimately join the ruling class. Wealth will be measured in money, privacy, and relative freedom to the norm. Natural rights will become 'pay to play'.

9. Governments will continue copying Beijing's high tech, surveillance society under different marketing in order to prevent an uprising as this era ends. The wealthiest people on earth will enjoin themselves into the reset of governance.

10. Social media will finish usurping the mass media as the preferred platform for government information. State sponsored podcasters will drown out most authentic voices. #Nostr and other platforms will survive on the fringes but noise will still be so high that it will be difficult to track the advance of reset. Productive families will find sanity in small worlds where signal can be cultivated and defended.

11. Private payment tech on #Bitcoin will be slyly introduced into some fringe economies at real scale for the first time. #GrapheneOS or a project like ir will break out of Linux/Android/Pixel using a Rust based microkernel, eliminating much of today's attack surface and eventually shipping their own hardware which will become ubiquitous with families who still have money. Open source chips and a freeing of the entire computing stack will be well underway.

Privacy Street Smarts 🛑🧠

1. Remove photos of face (self and family) from internet; replace with ghibli or illustration for professional use cases, like LinkedIn if needed.

2. Remove photos that reveal location of self and family from social media; migrate to private group chat and e2ee albums like with Ente.

3. Use DeleteMe and other services to remove personal info from the generally available public internet.

4. Get rid of #Bitcoin swag, stickers, art. Do the same with any political subculture, i.e. guns or pepe memes etc. Adopt wholesome aesthetic, like camping/outdoors or family/christian.

5. Use a nym online. Use in a secured profile on #GrapheneOS. Segregate online usage from KYC life.

6. Don't talk with neighbors about Bitcoin. Don't talk with family about Bitcoin. They need to do the work themselves. Never ever brag about money.

7. Come up with an honest story for why you are financially free: did well in career, am an investor (don't discuss investments).

8. Live in a small house, or rent. Avoid mansions. Avoid flashy dumb bullshit.

9. Become proficient in firearms and tend to the security of where you sleep. Manage transitionary spaces, parking lots, streets, entering/exiting buildings, with seriousness.

Sparrow is the GOAT, but I honestly don't recommend using a desktop/laptop machine for interfacing with your #Bitcoin keys unless (A) it's a dedicated device and (B) you know how to reasonably secure it.

For most, a dedicated #GrapheneOS device is a safer way to go. Would love to see Sparrow come to Android. It's written in Java (I think), so should be possible with enough work.

Just give me an old truck, a single bookshelf of books, a sunset, a rocking chair, a few good friends, a little reformed church, #Nostr on a #GrapheneOS device, some nicotine+caffeine, a pantry full of natty sugars, a barbell, a space freezer full of beef+butter, some sats in cold storage, a raw diary source, and my family.

The Honda Pilot Trailsport (2025) is one of the last lines of low-tech, affordable, mid-size, 3 row SUVs that doesn't completely suck.

• Best all-around family vehicle. Behaves like a mini van but drives like a truck. Can go over a curve in an emergency. Tight; even the wife can park it with practice.

• Works on countryside roads or for camping. Tows a small load. Roof storage is functional. Not so expensive that you need to baby it. It should last: it's a Honda.

• No turbo engine. No hybrid bullshit. Interior is rough and basic. Kid ready. Teenager ready. Very grey man compatible. Keep the stickers off of it. Get an outdoor colorway so you don't need to wash it every week.

• Gets all the basics right; USBc charging, no backseat screens, great storage capacity, huge sun roof, steel collision bars, intercom, hidden storage for breakdown and medical kits, infotainment screen in front is low-fi and works with #GrapheneOS.

One of the last new lines of vehicles that are still #WorthTheSats.

Very excited for the Pixel Fold line to mature over the coming years.

Running #GrapheneOS on such a device replaces the need for a tablet and takes a big chunk out of my remaining laptop usage.

Long term, I can imagine such a device with a hybrid eink screen... that would be the only device I would need in my personal life.

I want my kids to live in a world of fewer devices, that are healthier and more private, not more.

This setup will avoid the problem of authorities being able to "prove" you have #Bitcoin in your possession.

1. A powered off #GrapheneOS device is completely E2EE encrypted at rest with nothing in memory. Plausible deniability: I forgot the password/PIN.

2. Green can be set not to remember previously accessed wallets, leaving no trace behind on the device. This allows you to grant access to the device if need being, and it will look pretty bare bones.

3. This leaves the Jade, which either has some state (if using PIN server) or none, if using #SeedQR. In both cases, ample plausibility exists in either "I forgot the pin", or "I've never set it up or truly used it".

This level of plausible deniability is critical as the State becomes more agressive with seizure.

This is one of the biggest reasons I've stopped having IRL friends and family use and maintain a dedicated laptop: too much risk of seizure if they don't know what they're doing.

On #GrapheneOS, I set Twjlight to 80% intensity with a 20% screen dim, then in settings I ensure the color temp is at it's warmest and everything is activated from 7:30PM to 9AM. 🔴

I layer Android's Night Light mode on top from sunset to sunrise at about 75% intensity. 🌑

For me, the device is still plenty usable, and I can tell it's working by how bright the first real lights of the day are. 🌞

The biggest gap in the

offering is an easy, native, wholesale backup and restore feature/app.

If you've ever migrated to a newer Google Pixel with #GrapheneOS, you know how much work it is.

The only thing that debanked me harder, across a myriad of services, than adopting #Bitcoin and voicing wrong think on Twitter, was adopting #GrapheneOS as my daily driver.

About half of my critical day to day services ban/froze/deleted my account.

The upside is that now I am on a far more defensible #SovereignStack.

At this point, not using #GrapheneOS is like volunteering yourself and your family for 24/7 strip searches.

Couldn't be me.
