2017 Domaine de Travallon, IGP, Alpilles, France.
$80 at release in April, 2019 - roughly 2,000,000 sats.
Current release 2022 vintage at $127 - Priced today in sats - 125,000 sats.
Wine Notes: Tasted in 2021 65% Cabernet Sauvignon 35% Syrah, a breast of a #winestr . Prefectly ripe tannins with integrated acid which will definitely improve with age, 10-15yrs. Classic Provence shrubland and gaminess with ripe bramble berries on the nose and palate. Complex and delicious! Finishes long and fresh with finely grained tannins.
This wine has an IGP designation which means it is not classified under the true regional classification as others wines in the region half as good. The Durrbach family doesn’t give a shit about the classification rules of France, they just want to make the highest quality wine from the best suited grapes of the region. To them Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are those grapes, in a region dominated by Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan. Mostly being made into cheap rose to be drank on the beach during tourist season.
Fuck the rules. Everything gets cheaper on a bitcoin standard.
