any kind of advice like this gets slated - those who do some of these things claim 'we all know that, stop talking down', others complain that the price of the heating is the problem and no-one should have to do things to stay warm.
I see nothing wrong with making sure everyone has access to information they may not have grown up with. I'm thankful not to have ice on the inside of the windows any more. But we still only heat the rooms to about 18-19C. I wear thermal leggings under my jeans, multiple layers generally. I don't see why anyone should be sitting in t-shirt and shorts indoors in cold weather. 26C is too hot. 24 is too hot! Stop complaining about the cost - or showing off you can afford it - and put a cardie on.
