My PeerTube instance has been down for a while due to some kind of internot obeah but, as is tradition, I burnt it to the ground and started over.

All the old content, pirate radio tapes, inpc/Liotia music etc. will reappear in due course but also my follow lists are trashed so if you do take an interest in my funny noises, please re-follow the instance.

Also, feel free to add your PeerTube instances below so I can start following again. Shares most welcome. There will be new stuff soon...

Here's the recent stream my band, Liotia, did for NHAM back in July. Cheers!

Self hosting V4V music makers, is there a set format for adding work? With mine I'm essentially makeing a podcast with 4 episodes for an EP but then when publishing it favours the last track, as I publiched last... I guess I could publish in reverse order but I'm wondering if there's any kkind of conventions people are using?

Tonight - My first ever solo performance live stream to bless up the new ep Comic Capers.

30 mins of noises live mixed in my shed using a bunch of gizmos. Stream begins 19:00 UTC

https://stream.mxtthxw.art/

For those unfamiliar with my music, it's electro/dub/breakbeats/funny noises put together in a way that makes sense to me. The release is not on any mainstream streaming platforms. Daniel Elk is not a real elk. However, there are cool ways you can get the music still. Easiest to check my site and choose the option best works for you (RSS/Faircamp/Bandcamp etc) name your price/ v4v options.

Another quick bit of work... I seem to be gravitating to TV shows I watched as a kid.

Shaggy is a pervert imo.

My new EP - it's not ok computer is out today!

A mixture of noise, electro, trip hop and dub, made with springs and things in my shed.

As is customary, I'm self-hosting the music and it's avialible over RSS and as a podcast, supporting Podcasting 2.0 features, including Boostagrams etc, with each track being an episode. Either search on a podcast app or go direct to my Fedi server at.

https://pirate.mxtthxw.art/@inpc

It's also available on Mirlo and Bandcamp. It's free/name your price on those, if you dig the sounds then obviously any support is most appreciated. This won't be on traditional streaming platforms because...

1 Fuck them. 2 I'm not into surveillance death tech. 3 Daniel Elk isn't a real elk.

I'm also hosting a listening party tomorrow at 19:30 UTC, I'll link that tomorrow.

V4V music makers, what are the primary methods you use for promo? In the old world, I’d typically do some SM posts as well as forwarding to contacts/DJs/radio etc.

I’m releasing a solo EP at the end of the month, self hosted via RSS/Podcasting 2.0. and my only social media is here and the Fediverse so visibility probably super low, add that, it’s weird electronic stuff that are closer to experiments in sound than songs. Are there any folks into weirder/left field noise/dub?

It would be great to find some appropriate ears whilst not annoying folks who might view any self promotion here as spam.

Ps. If you’re a show host/DJ and want an advance copy, happy to forward or at least make contact.🙂

Ok so I totally missed this but there was a lovely piece about The Kalimera Show a few months back in the Owncast newsletter.

A big thank you to Kit and the Owncast devs, it really is fantastic and a very straightforward option for those looking to self host their own content, I've been running around 16 months now and depsite all the dramas I've had self hosting, Owncast has been the one super solid element that's never caused me issues. Big respect.

Ahh man, had some free time to try adding splits in the show RSS feed… so of course, out of nowhere, Nextcloud stops functioning and throws up a whole bunch of shit I don’t understand at all. #SelfHosting #Fuck #StupidFuckingComputers

A little taster from my forthcoming ep...
