Played with the travel watercolor brushes.

I thought I’d prefer the black based ones, but the gold base feel much lighter when I grip close to the ferrule for detailed, controlled strokes. The gold brushes also hold their tip much better. Even though the bristles stained blue, there really isn’t any loose pigment in there.

Local B&N bookstore is closing because they opened a new store further north.

Got a few books and a great stash of magazines for art stuff: references, collage, and possibly gelli plate transfers; need to do some tests as the paper is different for every magazine.

GM! Feeling very #artstr seeing my new standing easel in my studio this morning. 😍🎨

That’s the 24” x 30” (60.96 cm x 76.2 cm) canvas I made last year on the easel so you can get a sense of the size. 🐉⛰️

The other photos are the assembly process Boyfriend went through yesterday. He shared the instructions with his D&D group saying he’d built a trebuchet. 🫡

#artstr retail therapy: 50% off Christmas paper and a pack of 8” x 8” canvas boards.

I was too late to make Christmas cards this year, but still wanted to create something holiday, so going with collage and mixed media on small boards.

No plans, just playing with paper and paint and other stuff.

Now to clean it all up and start the next project. This time it’s fabric-based. 💙
