“I try my best to be efficient with words… I’ve reached the best version of the song when there’s nothing left to take away — not when there’s nothing more to add.”

Joe on the craft of songwriting: stripping away the excess until only what’s essential remains, with the goal of telling a three-hour movie in three minutes.

It’s a beautiful reminder that great art often comes from subtraction, not addition.

"I think for people, for it to click for people, they just need to see it and they need to experience their first zap, whether on Nostr or whether it's podcasting 2.0.”

Joe nails the real challenge: artists are frustrated with unfair streaming platforms, but the shift to Value for Value happens when people finally get to feel how much better it is.

This is exactly why we keep building and showing the real thing.

🧡 This is what it looks like when sound money meets sovereign art.

in Portland, Beth Alta Fletcher (Lady Nakamoto) — while volunteering at the Bitcoin For The Arts booth — sold one of her original artworks… and the buyer paid her in Bitcoin, right there.

Real-time. Direct. No middleman. No platform cut.

This is one of the earliest and purest use cases for Bitcoin as a medium of exchange for art.

The history books are watching.

“We want artists to have time on their side… to create the best work they can possibly do.”

Bitcoin lets us build the next renaissance. In the fiat system, too many artists are forced to make work just to pay rent — projects they don’t truly believe in. The money isn’t real, so the work suffers.

We need real resources so artists can reach their highest creative moments. Bitcoin gives them that freedom.

“You don’t own your content. You are the product.”

on why she gets suppressed and shadowbanned on TikTok — and why she now builds on Nostr.

On centralized platforms your work can be taken down, demonetized, or hidden at any moment.

On Nostr 💜 🧡 💜 → You own your content → You can stay anonymous → No one can change the rules on you overnight

This is the difference that actually matters for artists and creators. ⚡

🧡 New Episode Just Dropped! Share Your Bitcoin Journey EP5 – Sara Jade

Going from traditional streaming to building 30k+ followers on Nostr The moment she earned a million sats in one acoustic set Why Spotify removed one of her singles Opening for Jason Mraz while living on a Bitcoin standard What real value-for-value looks like for independent artists

This one is packed with real talk and inspiration.

🧡 “Bitcoiners saw the injustice… and they came to the rescue.”

That’s the real ethos of the Bitcoin community.

In our latest Share Your Bitcoin Journey episode,

powerfully explains the difference between releasing music on centralized platforms (where they control the rules and can change them anytime) versus building on decentralized platforms with sound money.

This isn’t just about money. It’s about principles. It’s about sovereignty. It’s about a community that actually shows up when it matters

Sound money is freedom tech. Decentralized platforms are creator tech.

This is why we build.
