About 74% of the Forbes 400 received a philanthropy score of only 1 or 2, meaning they have given away less than 5% of their #wealth over their lifetimes.

Note: this is lifetime giving

1 is less than 1% 2 is 1% to 4.99%

How #self-identified #Christians don’t act like the #Bible tells them to

#🧵 #savage #truth time

This isn’t about hypocrisy in the abstract. It’s about #patterned #disobedience wrapped in #religious #branding

1. Jesus centered the poor. Christians mostly center comfort.

Bible:

Care for the poor, the widow, the orphan. Sell what you have. Share. Wealth is a spiritual danger, not a blessing.

Reality: Many modern Christians:

#Defend #extreme #wealth #inequality

#Shame the #poor as #”lazy”

#Worship #prosperity as #proof of #virtue

That’s not #Christianity

That’s #capitalism with #Bible #quotes taped on.

Since #2008, how the #U.S. got more split — and why #ultra-wealth gained #leverage

1. The post-2008 rescue stabilized assets first

After the financial crisis, #policy was #built to prevent total collapse — but a side effect was: asset prices recovered faster than wages, which benefits people who already own lots of stocks/real estate. That’s a #wealth-multiplier.

You can see the result in the Fed’s wealth distribution data: the top 1% holds ~30% of U.S. net worth in recent years.

Translation: when your system props up markets, it props up the people closest to markets.

The tech and industry gods could have fixed this long ago

They CHOSE WEALTH

THEY STILL ARE. Hence why no chain of conduct … no genuine way to fix It’s all a game & we’re pawns

Majority of us don’t want to accept that. Hence why they are alive.

#wealth-imbalance #History is laughing at your ignorance and weakness

Wonder 💭 if the Epstein list is inside?

-/////- 99% of #humanity is enslaved by #ultra #wealth . We are at best #indentured #servants and at worst #slaves … #We will break those chains. ⛓️‍💥 or I die trying 😊

13th #Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: Abolition of #Slavery (1865)

Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865, the 13th Amendment abolished slavery in the United States.

In 1863 President #Lincoln issued the #Emancipation Proclamation declaring “all persons held as slaves within any State, or designated part of a State, the people whereof shall then be in rebellion against the United States, shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free.” Nonetheless, the Emancipation Proclamation did not end slavery in the nation since it only applied to areas of the #Confederacy currently in a state of rebellion (and not even to the loyal “border states” that remained in the Union). Lincoln recognized that the Emancipation Proclamation would have to be followed by a constitutional amendment in order to guarantee the abolishment of slavery.

The 13th Amendment was passed at the end of the #CivilWar before the Southern states had been restored to the Union, and should have easily passed in Congress. However, though the Senate passed it in April 1864, the House initially did not. At that point, Lincoln took an active role to ensure passage through #Congress

He insisted that passage of the 13th Amendment be added to the Republican Party platform for the upcoming 1864 Presidential election. His efforts met with success when the House passed the bill in January 1865 with a vote of 119–56.

On February 1, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln approved the Joint Resolution of Congress submitting the proposed amendment to the state legislatures. The necessary number of states (three-fourths) ratified it by December 6, 1865. The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

With the adoption of the 13th Amendment, the United States found a final constitutional solution to the issue of slavery. The 13th Amendment, along with the 14th and 15th, is one of the trio of Civil War amendments that greatly expanded the civil rights of #Americans
