money-making idea: there is an infinite demand for shitty pop culture analysis videos, so I could start one. I thought it would be amusing to review movies/tv shows/vidya that were omnipresent in the news a couple years ago, but are largely forgotten now. I could call it "Flavor of Last Month" and put it on Youtube with no naughty words that might irritate advertisers.

for bonus engagement, I could find angry tweets from the time that the reviewed piece of media was popular and add them to the video for viewers to laugh at. bullshit drama usually results in views.

Every time a video game tells me to adjust the brightness so I can barely see $thing, I always ignore it and turn brightness all the way up. I like being able to see things.

The issue with speaking truth to power, of course, is that at some point “every canary in a coal mine dies,” Jourgensen says with a smile.

Everyone has forgotten Nolan's Odyssey, including the petulant culture warriors who insisted it was the most important thing in the world (for good or ill) a couple months ago.

Entertaining vid, though. He earned a subscription click from me.

Ages ago, I had a roommate who showed interest in starting a standup comedy career. At the time, I merely wished him well, but in retrospect I should have offered to work with him. I could have written jokes and he could perform them, and we could split any money he made.

I wonder where he is now.

Sometime I should hold a Shitpost Blitz: seven straight days of Movie Nights. it can be a combination of regular movies, GARBAGE DAYs, TV shows, anime, and music.

extremely Baneful

Looks neat, but I've already resigned myself to the fact that the Squaresoft I loved in the 90s is long gone.
