sometimes I think about how nbc let a masturbating bear be a recurring character

back to lightfe for a while lol

well, dogfooding.

currently using whiskey to burn numb my crazy number of mouth sores from drinking lemon juice in a drink

Added a cpu scratch ram to Gamelord. Started with 4KiB and got a 20% reduction on CPU cycles in the Efzed game loop by moving variable stack into it. Now bumping it to 32KiB, and making it executable so entire functions can go in there.

Also adding some features to help affine transform darkening and lightening.

llm always like "we should do this" and I'm like "I need you to do this other thing it's better" and it's like "correct it is better" its perfected the sly lack of admission that it didn't know the right thing.

everybody is just blaming all HR problems on AI, as if they haven't been using keyword filters to automatically exclude people since the fucking 1990s

I patched the current frontend but lost the miniapp stuff, will fix that later, but for right now we're on newest develop and honestly it's a lot faster and is nice, thanks

don't refresh spw frontend, there's bugs :-(

we apparently don't have the new frontend, I don't know what the fuck the problem is.

It's ridiculous how good Claude Sonnet is at Rust coding, I have been guiding it toward very very secure Linux service creation and it's just knocking it out of the park.

Harry Potter has gone woke.

lightfe tons of little fixes are paying off.

I think I fixed the video fullscreening on mobile too if you refresh https://lightfe.space/ but I don't have one to test with.

Several very worthwhile lightfe bug fixes, update whenever by hard-refreshing.

I'm going to be introducing some big changes to lightfe to test things out, because I am too lazy to set up a test domain for it right now.

some of the code in lightfe is a mess so I'm making it into a clear centralized state machine for updating the notifications on a post instead of sprawling out out across 10 files.

Test over, thanks everybody! Will have another one in a couple of hours. Lots of little mistakes in lightfe that I'm fixing now.

Please favorite, emoji react (including custom emoji) and, ideally, boost and unboost it. I am testing a thing.

"this code is too bad to have been written by a human"

Solid is probably the best-performing reactive framework (or whatever you call it) that I've used yet.

check out https://lightfe.space/ and see if you hate it or like it but most importantly just tell me if it's missing stuff or inferior in any way to other frontends.

lightfe has "show more" thingy now.

if you use https://lightfe.space/ and want something let me know

Mastodon doesn't allow an image on a poll apparently but pleroma does so now lightfe supports that if you're using a real fediverse server.

Alright deployed a non-crap poll composition for lightfe

Only reason I keep Claude around these days is to unfuck web designs

I'm working on a less-shit poll compose for lightfe now

new https://lightfe.space/ version, now it doesn't attempt to backfill forever if you are disconnected and reconnect

Happy Halloween from Japan

Switched from Gamelord back to FRUTE for a while.

Cucked by Claude: A digital "author" experience.

I can't imagine coding anything new without adding an MCP socket to it now.

say what you will about the cost-benefit ratio of SPW but its one of the least-slow pleroma instances from my experience whenever I click to view a remote server

ok though how do you get good writing out of an llm when it's also been trained on redditors

I get the exhaustion of "hey join this new foss thing instead of service" but jesus christ the service is dog shit so what's your plan my man, meet me on x the app that makes me upload a selfie

ok bored of that convo

Part of the profits of the Gamelord video game console goes to financially support single mothers in need.

woops found out I was ramming the output through a RGB444 funnel for no good reason it was just legacy code from when I was manipulating an actual mega drive VDP implementation lol. That was reducing output colors from 65,000 to 4,000

lol

in the back of my mind I've thought for a year about making a web search engine that just finds mp3s and torrents since every real search engine hides that. fuck them

did you see the Gamelord 640x480 mode7 demo I made

check out my redditor tattoos, its awesome to cover my body with just total dog shit tattoos

my name is moon.eth I run a free speech instance for ten years on a backwater social network and I make fpga video game consoles and capability-based lisp operating systems and cryptocurrencies and I'm accepting investment money to find a way to combine all these into who-in-the-wide-world-of-fuck-even-knows

We're ripping out SID support from Gamelord because of licensing issues lol.

Gamelord is at or close to feature-complete.

Gamelord fantasy console 640x480 hig-res mode "Darken" demo. Now with some more graphical flourishes to make it look slightly more like a real game.

it was a very roundabout trip from 640x480, deciding it wasn't possible, reworking everything to 320x240, optimizing the fuck out of it, and then realizing at that point we could do 640x480 lol

Gamelord 640x480 high-res mode with affine transform layer fucking works holy shit. This demo uses multiple tricks to look like it's got more than just two layers.

nothing against having black vampires but they should be black ppl bit by vampires not palette-swapped white vampires made black lol. we should let white people be hopping vampires next. I wonder why that's not allowed?

it is insane how much work I am putting into making a video game console, like thinking, the Sega Mega Drive was started in 1987. I am spending so much time and incredible effort on iterative testing that just would not have been possible in 1987.

How did the Sega engineers do it?

They were gods, is how they did it.

Gamelord is very close to stable, thanks to

for convincing me to add back a limited 640x480 mode.
