In 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz did something unthinkable, he offered 10,000 BTC for two pizzas. Not as a gimmick, but to answer a question: Can Bitcoin be used like real money?
A fellow Bitcoiner took him up on it. Two pizzas were delivered. And history was made!
That moment, simple, almost ordinary, proved that Bitcoin could have real world value. It was the first spark in a global movement for financial sovereignty.
Today, we honor Laszlo.🫡How are you celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day? Are you joining a local Bitcoin hangout, hosting a meet-up, or grabbing a slice with fellow plebs? Drop your plans in the comments, we’d love to give your crew a shout-out!!!!! #BitcoinPizzaDay #BitcoinDada #Pizza
