BITCOIN DADA

⚠️⛔️From Bitcoin Dada:

We’ve noticed a few hard forks of “DADA” appearing lately 👀 — and while it’s beautiful to see more women-led energy rising, not every fork connects to the original chain.

Just because a project carries the DADA name doesn’t mean it’s part of Bitcoin Dada or Dada Devs. Some are building authentically — others might just be riding the hash.

So before you engage, donate, or collaborate, always verify through our official channels.

We’ll always root for genuine women-led initiatives or initiatives that support African females— but we also protect the integrity of the chain we’ve mined with love, purpose, and proof of work. 💛

– Marcel & the Bitcoin Dada team

As we gear up for the Dada Devs workshop, we’ve curated a solid lineup of facilitators to deliver a fully immersive, hands-on experience designed for the next wave of female Bitcoin developers and open source contributors.

Kicking things off is Jodom; a Bitcoin developer and open source engineer committed to making financial tools more accessible.

is one of the minds behind Bitsacco and has also contributed to projects like

In 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz did something unthinkable, he offered 10,000 BTC for two pizzas. Not as a gimmick, but to answer a question: Can Bitcoin be used like real money?

A fellow Bitcoiner took him up on it. Two pizzas were delivered. And history was made!

That moment, simple, almost ordinary, proved that Bitcoin could have real world value. It was the first spark in a global movement for financial sovereignty.

Today, we honor Laszlo.🫡How are you celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day? Are you joining a local Bitcoin hangout, hosting a meet-up, or grabbing a slice with fellow plebs? Drop your plans in the comments, we’d love to give your crew a shout-out!!!!! #BitcoinPizzaDay #BitcoinDada #Pizza

She walks away from broken systems, not empty-handed but carrying the future.

For generations, our mothers and grandmothers navigated economies designed to extract, not empower. Their strength carried us through but Bitcoin offers something they never had: true ownership.

With each step forward, they leave behind the colonial structures, the currency that loses value overnight, the financial exclusion, and the chains disguised as progress.

What rises in their place are the building blocks of a new reality for Africa: code that can't be corrupted, education that can't be gatekept, ownership that can't be seized, and freedom that can't be diluted.

The Bitcoin revolution is deeply personal. It's the quiet liberation of millions of African women who've been the backbone of our economies yet remained its most vulnerable participants.

Before Bitcoin, there were childhood piggy banks and crumpled notes from grandmothers. 👵🏾

Our Dadas share tender memories of their very first dance with money, counting coins under warm sunlight, the pride of first savings, and lessons learned at family tables.

These precious moments laid the foundation for a bigger journey, from the innocent joy of holding physical shillings to the powerful sovereignty of holding Bitcoin. Every financial revolution begins with a personal story. What's yours? #fiat #bitcoin
