Happy whitepaper day

Today our webshop was attacked. No one got in. There were many attempts with constantly rotating IP addresses at a very high pace. We’ve seen fake orders and login attempts. Rate limiting was applied but often bypassed. The attacks were ongoing for a period of about 8 hours.

We don’t hold any client data and we don’t have anything that could be stolen from our webshop. In 2022 there was a payment overlay builder that we caught, but apart from that we haven’t seen anything since. We would prefer to keep it that way.

Our privacy policy is very simple.

We directly delete your data from our systems (automatically) 1 day after shipment.

We don’t hold any data outside of order number, what is ordered and when.

There’s no email addresses in our systems. No APIs we use, because that creates vulnerabilities.

We manually type your order with the shipper.

When shipping with DHL we don’t have an account use an anonymous email and ship from a parcel point.

When we ship with UPS they have their 2FA systems and security systems in check and all data is deleted within a month.

Some shops have reached out to us how we decided to go about our clients privacy and this is how we do it.

Some say they can’t work without the easy shipping plugin to auto generate labels and give easy options for the clients.

When you unplug your yubikey and you've already put the password in to unlock the yubico authenticator application keeps on running in the background and once you plug the yubi back in again it directly shows the secrets, this is a risk. Today we received an order back from our courier. The first order that was shipped was claimed by the shipping company to be delivered in the letterbox. The client was disappointed so we decided to do an extra shipment of the book in combination with autograph verification. So we would know it would arrive. The shipper had three attempts but failed to deliver. Now it was returned. As this is an international shipment this cost us,

• time of comms
• packing twice and packing materials plus unpacking return once (always damaged) The margin on a book is €3,80 euros. After income tax it’s ~half. In this specific situation we lost, just calculated: Time ~20 minutes in total: €3,33 Packaging, labels, stickers etc.: €2,38 Shipping 2x and return payment: €38,26 Total: €43,97 So we need to sell >10 books To break even. Having a retail shop simply doesn’t make any sense. Because a larger and larger percentage is being either lost, stolen, returned or claimed. After losing over 5 btc on this endeavor over the past 6 years, we persist. But it doesn’t make any economic sense.

We’re hearing about deliberate fraudulent chargebacks wrecking shops more and more often. If this persists, final settlement is the only way to survive. The current environment where you can’t trust shipping companies to not share your data, delivery guys stealing packages, fraudulent clients trying to steal from you, it is hard to survive. Many people give up, because in combination with bureaucratic paperwork that takes most of your time and paying over 100% of taxes (most companies are making a loss so they basically only generate tax), it might be time to get out of the traditional system that is truly broken.

We found one spare euro on our account to stack this dip. We convert all fiat we have into bitcoin continuously. Which means we are in generally extremely low on fiat. Sometimes we have to make a buy that feels like it could be a bottom. In general we don’t share our direct conversions, but they are instant from multiple bank accounts these days. Being able to convert bitcoin directly with business bank accounts linked to them has improved a lot over the past years. DHL uses third parties to ship across borders, often loses packages. We don’t use a business account because it’s unsafe and want to keep your data in check. Mondial relay/inpost is the new kid on the block. Looks like quite some shipments have been successful. The website is absolutely horrendous with only lockers, not much that can go wrong data wise. PostNL, lost more packages and cost us more than we will ever to be able to earn. We mostly use it for sending with stamps nationally and fully anonymous.

I don't want my data with government.

Orders signer from via manufacturer website. Customs neatly notes down. This person on this address ordered this bitcoin signer and has to pay this amount of import taxes over it. We will keep this data in our unsecured database for many years and trust all our customs personell to never abuse this data.

It looks like society is collapsing. The number of stolen and lost packages is increasing every month… We are doing this to help bitcoiners to sovereignty but losing this number of packages doesn’t make any economical sense.

Over the years we’ve put enormous effort to educate the masses on bitcoin. The active pushback by the Dutch central bank and our ministries is simply unbearable to watch. Indoctrination of children with this kind of suggestive information is a crime against the local population. The analogy reminds us of the rat poison take we’ve seen before from Warren Buffet. In this specific case SnowWhite represents the banks and institutions that are siphoning off most wealth into their extraction pockets. Bitcoin is the poison that should finally kill their parasitic behavior. The dwarfs will be the bitcoiners coming to revive the dead institutions with a healthy approach of cutting back 99% of waste.

How do we ship? Manually, we input everything by hand and where no account is possible we don’t use an account. We still login separately and don’t use the unencrypted APIs of shippers where too many people have data access in these companies. People can request specific shippers in the comments. To just give a bit more clarification on this (as per request) Shipping in the Netherlands with regular stamps and we handwrite the address without any tracing is done via dropping the max letterbox format into a mailbox. Zero trace, but also zero traceability (tracking). Your risk. Standard shipping, we use DHL as we don’t need to create an account and nothing is linked to us. Insured, we either use DHL or UPS depending on the location. UPS is the only two factor account based system where (also Apple and many other high value products) are in general shipped with. If you want us to use UPS we can. They delete your data after 3 months from our 2FA account. If you want a specific lockbox with inpost/mondial relay, just mention it in the comments. It can only be send via an account which we setup but not points to us obviously. The account is not 2FA and the data is viewed by us as public. So it is a great option for anonymous name and burner email and phone number. Let us know in the comments what you would like to see.
