I just don't understand why everyone is using @walletofsatoshi.

It is not Opensource.

Why not go for @blinkbtc or @BlitzWalletApp ?

In my practical workshop yesterday, we had groups of two.

In one of the groups, one person had a simulated @SpecterDIY on their smartphone and the other had the @bitcoinKeeper_ app.

Together they made working Testnet transactions.

Here’s exactly how you can get where I am as well, step by step:

What you get (nearly same practical status as locals):

• Live in Paraguay indefinitely (card renewed every 10 years)
• Cédula (Paraguayan ID)
• Work freely, open bank accounts, get a RUC, sign contracts, buy property, get utilities & driver’s licence
• Enter/leave freely (re-enter at least once every 3 years)
• Permanent Residency (make sure to not be off paraguay for more than 3 years)

What you don’t get:

• No Paraguayan passport
• Voting rights only in municipal elections (not national)
• No eligibility for most public offices
• Still subject to the 3-year absence rule

1. Prepare the documents in your home country

• Valid passport (at least 6 months validity recommended)
• Birth certificate (apostilled)
• Police clearance / criminal record (for presentation abroad) (apostilled; must not be too old when you submit)

2. Contact a imigration Helper Highly recommend starting with this before or while preparing the documents.

In theory this works without one, but I don't recommend it anybody. It will take a lot longer, you will need to find everything out yourself and need good spanisch.

I used @ParaguayProfis . If you message them, write them Schnuartz sent you. You don't pay extra but you support my work.

He will give you all the advice you need.

3. Cédula and Temporary Residency

• Bring everything mentioned + Do the staff your imigration helper told you
• Paraguay Profis will bring you to the imigration center.
• You need to do fingerprints, Foto, signature etc.

3-4 Month afterwards you will receive your Cédula (like a ID in Paraguay) + your temporary Residency. -> They can send it to you or you via post to your country / a trustworthy person picks it up and brings to you.

Both last for about 2 years.

Costs: €2,2k for migration helper (includes Cedula etc) + flight (€1k from Germany) + normal vaccation costs

4. Second trip (~365 days after the first one)

• Here the time Slot is very important. You do not want to risk to be more than 365 days outside of Paraguay. so try to set this trip exactly in the middle of the 3 trips you need to do.
• Before this trip contact your imigration helper to be sure you do everything right.
• It could be the case that some extra cost come here. Prepare €900
• Nothing special more, this is for having a stamp in your passport.

5. Third Trip (~365 days afterwards)

• Timeslot is very important as well. You have 90 day time window. BUT you don't want to be more than 365 days off Paraguay.
• Speak with your imigration Helper what you need before!
• Passport, Cedula, Residency, Police card (you will receive as well the last time) is minimum
• You are doing: New picture, new fingerprints and new signature
• You get: ->Permanent resedency for Paraguay (Here it's highly recommended to not be off Paraguay for more than 3 years. Otherwise it could taken from you in theory) -> New Cedula that last for 10 years
• You will receive both under the conditions like last time after 3-4 month
• Cost is €1,7k

(6.) Bonus: Paraguay Consulting

It's confirmed. In 3-4 month I will receive the permanent residency for Paraguay.

And a Cédula (like an ID) that will last 10 years until I need to extend it.

The first time I went to Paraguay alone, I orange-pilled a Paraguayan hotel.

I stayed at a small hotel, and in the evening, I talked to the owner in my poor Spanish, with the help of a translator.

Nein, es gibt gerade einige Fälle wo die Coldcard dabei in einen Zustand gerät in dem sie sich nicht mehr verwänden lässt.

Stattdessen wie auch schon häufiger von mir empfohlen:

1. Hänge eine lange Passphrase (aufschreiben) an deine unsichere Seedphrase die du mit der Coldcard erstellt hast an
2. Sende die Bitcoin an diese Aller die mehr Entropie besitzt
3. Kaufe dir eine neue sichere Hardware Wallet (z.B.
   npub1specter…tr4qw2

   DIY)
4. Erstelle dir eine sichere Seedphrase mit der Hardware Wallet (evtl. Würfeln / Münzwürfe)
5. Sende die Bitcoin von der Passphrase Wallet auf die neue Sichere Hardware Wallet https://x.com/northernH0DL/status/2083633778572787862

Gerade für Inheritance extrem spannend: Was passiert mit den Coins, wenn mir etwas passiert?

Das lässt sich nicht mit jeder Wallet sauber abbilden. Genau dafür ist Liana stark.

Was würdet ihr machen, wenn ihr im Urlaub seid und eine Seedphrase auf der Coldcard Mk4 erstellt habt, die gerade zuhause liegt und evtl gerade probiert wird anzugreifen?

What happened with COLDCARD is one of the most painful moments in the history of Bitcoin self-custody.

It did not hit the people who didn't care about trusting a third party. It hit the ones who did everything right who researched, understood, and chose sovereignty.

I really think about the affected people and it breaks my heart every single time. To hear about people losing everything. Losing money they saved for years.

This incident once again shows why we designed Specter DIY the way we did from day one:

• Hardware RNG is only one source
• Touch data and timing are continuously mixed in
• Most importantly: the user can fully control and verify the entropy themselves through coin flips, bit toggles, and transparent bit-level visibility
• No hidden fallback paths. Everything is open source and auditable

Self-custody works best when you systematically remove single points of failure. That is why I have been advocating multi-vendor multisig for years.

But this is not for everyone. This is not for people who just want to just Secure their Bitcoin. This makes the current situation so devastating.

With Specter we want to do better. Bitcoin Security is where my heart beats for. Bitcoin Security is where the heart of our Specter Association beats for. We will do everything we can to keep as many people as possible protected from incidents like that.

And we will do everything we can to make sure that we stay as transparent as possible in every single way.

Especially for advanced users we want to provide every option to be able to take the extra mile and

• To see how the coin flips affect the entropy
• To see which data enters the device.
• To see what you are actually signing
• To see which data leaves the device
• To see that the device carries the correct firmware
• To see that the correct firmware stays on the device

We know self-custody is hard.
We know not everyone will go the extra mile.
But for those who do, we will keep building the tools, the transparency and the education that make true sovereignty possible.

We will continue to fight with Specter for higher security standards of Bitcoin Self Custody. For simple bitcoiners and for advanced experts.

Ich verwende AI einfach die ganze Zeit.

Für extrem viele verschiedene Sachen. Ein Game Changer war es, als ich von Wisper Flow erfahren habe.
Damit kann man sprechen und den Text dann in jeden AI‑Agenten komfortabel eingeben lassen.

Der hat dann ein Glossar, sodass er einfach deinen Wortschatz beherrscht, sodass die AI viel weniger schwurbeln.
