It's hard to forget just how delusional people are. I made the mistake of wandering into a comment section where people are convinced an electric future is just around the corner and everything is going to be powered by solar panels.

Some prize comments:

• I bet they could make it more efficient by letting the propellers windmill on descent and harvesting the energy
• If they have range problems they should have the plane liase with electric drones for mid-flight recharging
• Solar power is the cheapest form of electricity available
• Battery fires aren't a problem, they just need to encase each battery in a fireproof shell (enjoy your bank of pressure cooker bombs)
• Various complaints about requirements for planes to carry reserve fuel
