Mostro

Are your trades on Mostro 🧌 actually private? Yes.

All communication is end-to-end encrypted, with different keys for every operation so your exchanges can't be linked to each other. You can even trade in an advanced privacy mode where not even the node you're using can tell which operations are yours.

Node operators never get access to any personal information either way. + Info: https://mostro.network/

Mostro 🧌 doesn't force one single way to be private.

You can trade in reputation mode, building a rating your counterparts can see, or in full private mode, where not even the node you're using can link your orders to each other. Same protocol, same encrypted chat, you choose how much you reveal.

Which mode fits how you trade?

Exchanging value with another person should be an act between those two people. Nothing more.

Without a third party recording who you are, where you're from, and what you do with your money.

On Mostro 🧌 that information doesn't exist because the protocol doesn't need it.

Every trade uses different keys. Communications travel encrypted through Nostr. Nodes have no access to personal data.

What isn't needed for the trade simply doesn't exist ⚡

Mostro 🧌 introduces a new P2P chat system built directly over Nostr, enabling true peer-to-peer communication between buyer and seller - with no servers, no middlemen, and no metadata leakage.

⚡ Each conversation is linked to a single order and encrypted using a shared secret derived through Diffie-Hellman over Elliptic Curves (DHEC / ECDH). That means only the two participants can decrypt and read their messages - not even the Mostro instance can.

🛡️ This encrypted channel not only enhances privacy but also simplifies dispute resolution, since every trade has its own isolated chat and record.

Curious about the cryptography behind it?
