Elon Musk talks about turning X into a Western "superapp"—an all-in-one platform for chat, media, ID, and global payments. WeChat already mastered this years ago.
But here’s the reality check: Nostr clients like
and
have literally been doing this for a while now.
Through a single cryptographic key pair, a user can instantly access borderless P2P messaging, media sharing, live streaming, decentralized marketplace stores, and lighting-fast global micropayments via native Zaps. It is the ultimate "Everything App," entirely decoupled from corporate control.
So here is my challenge to us: Why are mainstream consumers and merchants still sleepwalking into centralized corporate traps instead of utilizing Nostr fully?
Is it a friction problem? A marketing problem? Or are people just too comfortable trading their data and sovereignty for legacy convenience?
Let's discuss. 👇
