Good morning From Bitcoin Chama?
We had a tourist from the UK visit our community. He is not a bitcoiner. He was really surprised when he found people in rural Kisii Kenya know about bitcoin and are transacting daily with it.
He couldn't even believe bitcoin could be used to make small transactions, so we showed him by buying him a soda and paying with bitcoin at a local shop.
We are still early. Bitcoin is money.

Good evening from Bitcoin Chama?
With the recent rise in bitcoin price, Most people have been coming to us surprised by how much and how fast their saving grew!, not so much but they are surprised it grew. (also means they are paying attention)
Most of the people in our community don't have a way to check Bitcoin price since they don't have smartphones. We are thinking of getting something like a digital bitcoin clock that updates the Bitcoin price for our community.
Irregardless of the price, some people are already living on a Bitcoin standard in Rural Kenya. The numbers are increasing.
