Our art stand is now open again in West Stockbridge, MA.

We are focusing on small prints this summer featuring photography mostly from in and around the Berkshires. We also have some copies of our zine, and occasionally some glitch art too. If you’re in the #berkshires #berkshires, drop in – maybe you'll see something you like.

All art prints are pay-what-you-want (there is some price guidance on the table). Zines are priced individually.

We accept #bitcoin.

Turns out some people are obsessed with dahlias. If you know anyone with such an obsession, they’d probably love our recent zine.

We are unveiling some new work in printed form: our first zine, ‘First Frost / Final Bloom’ is out now.

A full color, 32-page, 6.75 x 9” staple-bound zine, it features 21 previously unseen photographs made on a walk among frozen dahlias on October 10, 2025 at a micro flower farm in West Stockbridge, MA, and includes an evocative introduction by writer Lee Buttala. In the comments below we will share the long-form newsletter post about the projects.

There’s a limited edition of 30 available which include a small print, and a few open edition copies too. Visit https://pappasbland.com/fffb (reach out if you’d like to pay with Bitcoin)

Just saying hi.

I’ve been on an Ernst Haas kick recently, I think I have every book out that our library system had available. I wasn’t really that familiar with his work until recently but I’m enjoying noticing some overlap with how I like to see and shoot. Definitely a new source of inspiration for me, belatedly. -Tom

Just saying hi.

PappasBland is the collective work of Diana Pappas and Tom Bland, photographers and partners in work and life (FYI Tom writes the notes here).

Today we work together as photography partners under the umbrella of PappasBland, producing fine art prints of our work for collectors, helping our clients tell their story with photography, and pursuing our personal projects – all while writing an ambitious newsletter where we debut our newest work in the form of monthly art drops.

We are based in the beautiful Berkshires in western Massachusetts.

It would be great to connect with other artists in New England, interior designers, art consultants, and business owners in western MA or the Hudson Valley. If that sounds like you, zap and say hi!

Shipped these #photography prints off to their new homes today, always a satisfying experience. One of these orders came from us leaving small handmade zines in our town’s info booth. The buyer who was visiting the #berkshires grabbed a zine and ordered a print from our site later that evening. That was cool, and proof of work I guess!

Our latest art drop features an addition to Diana’s ‘Hand Bouquets’ series. I love how this project is growing over time. There’s also a little giveaway hiding in there if you look closely enough…

This time of year here in western #massachusetts we have what is known as ‘mud season’. Snow is melting, ground is thawing, and as you can imagine everything turns to mud. New work alert!

We published our latest art drop yesterday. In Art Drop 21: The Long Way Home I wrote about wandering and exploring by car, with camera.

I have really come to enjoy carving out the time to take the long way home from my errands. It’s been an effective way to learn more about this corner of Massachusetts we now call home, and it has led to some memorable interactions that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. You can read more at the link below and see a bunch of new and previously unseen photographs.

My photograph ‘Upper West Lot’ is only available until Feb 7th.

Thought I’d solicit some feedback on art drops from the #artstr community here.

Each month we unveil a new limited release #photography print in a medium-form post on Substack. We have grown our mailing list from 0 to 500 in under two years (many of these will be other artists). In the post we share some context to the work and process when relevant. The prints are open edition, signed, made-to-order and available for 7 days only, after which it’s unavailable for at least a year. Various sizes are available, and custom requests are possible. The idea here of course is to create some anticipation and motivate someone who likes the work to move quickly if they want to order a print.

Our newsletter/Substack is the primary place where we share the link to the art drop page on our website. We want to encourage people who like our work to join our list to be notified when a new art drop is published.

So the pitch is essentially ‘join our newsletter for access to our art drops that are only open for 7 days. Otherwise you might miss out on a piece you really like.’

We are always wondering how to adjust the concept, other than continually striving to create good work. Future art drops will allow anyone who wants to pay with #bitcoin to place an order. If you have any feedback or suggestions let us know in the comments. And if you want to join our list the link is on our profile. Thank you!

If you are using #nostr in the Berkshires, Massachusetts, come say hi. Even better if you’re interested in #artstr and/or #photography

Hey, we are new here so it’s introduction time…

PappasBland is the collective work of Diana Pappas and Tom Bland. We are photographers and partners in work and life. Photography and the internet brought us together when we lived an ocean apart. Remember Flickr? Yeah, that’s where we met. After writing to each other for a year (Hoboken <-> London), we met IRL and our lives and work as visual artists were forever intertwined.

Today we work together as #photography partners under the umbrella of PappasBland, producing art prints of our photographs, helping our clients tell their story with photography, and pursuing our personal projects – all while writing an ambitious newsletter via Substack.

We are based in the beautiful Berkshires in western Massachusetts.

Looking forward to using #nostr and getting to know the community here.
