I fucking hate this holiday because it's when my dad died. I had to prepare his body & lower him into the ground within 3 days (look up Muslim burial procedures; it's fucking traumatic). 🥹
A few days later (in that exact same #Christmas season), I had to fly to the US with my mom because she needed major cancer surgery, so this season is a constant reminder of loss & suffering for me. 🫠
I implore that you all hold your loved ones tightly, verbalize your affection for them & smile fondly when you think of those that are no longer with us; you never know what this crazy life brings. 💁♂️
I am all alone this year, halfway around the world from my tiny little island home (by choice), but I hope that all of your lives are filled with tons of laughter, good food, warm memories & amazing people. 🙏
Never take that shit for granted or leave things unspoken because love is all we really have & no amount of #BTC / #Bitcoin will bring back the people that matter most once they leave. 🤷♂️
