Begging teh gubmint for your freedoms is lulz and a waste of time
Petitions, writing your congressperson, standing on capitol grounds screaming and waving signs, etc., does absolutely nothing but get everybody divided, distracted, and wound-up. Move on.
They won't do what you ask, or they'll do it, but with stipulations, regulations, cramming it into another bill among stuff you don't agree with, or other assorted fuckery that doesn't help anyone, only violates your free dumbs even more than before.
