Writing can preserve truth or manufacture lies.
Knowledge of plants can produce medicine or poison.
Technology can liberate humanity or monitor it.
Perhaps the warning was never:
“Do not learn.”
Perhaps the warning was:
“Wisdom must grow as quickly as power.”
Ancient Watchers.
Modern technologists.
