I'm inspired to see many long-standing Fediverse supporters, moderators, admins, and code contributors volunteer their expertise for Discovery Week! I can't wait to learn from you all.

But we're missing some important voices: Non-technical users.

Which is why I have a favor to ask: Please share this post with someone you know who is a casual, non-technical user of Mastodon or any social platform. I want to make sure we're hearing from a wide range of perspectives!

I'm hosting

's first ever Discovery Week in just a few days. It's a chance for the public to weigh in on the future of online communities.

We'll be discussing topics like user-controlled algorithms, trust & safety, creator tools, and more. Your input will help steer Mastodon towards a more inclusive and impactful roadmap. Non-technical folks strongly encouraged to attend, and there's an async option if you can't make the live sessions!

One of my favorite things about being neurodivergent is wrapping up a serious work meeting and immediately breaking into a musical stim. Today it’s me singing this mashup from eons ago

When viewing the profile of someone you're already following, which button combination would you prefer and why? Please boost this post so we can maximize feedback!

To trans people on the margins. To the Black and Indigenous trans folks who have built nations, led movements, and guided civilization as spiritual leaders since the beginning of time. To my trans sisters, by blood and by choice, who must be soft and sharp all at once in a misogynistic world. To all the disabled trans beauties, reclaiming your bodies and brains from capitalism. I see you, I love you, I’m so grateful you’re still here. :BlobhajTransPrideHeart:

[1/4] I enjoyed reading your feedback on the importance of the 'Following you' indicator on profiles.

You heard right – the new profile experience is now live on Mastodon.social and other participating servers, and will soon be available to all in Mastodon 4.6.

With it comes easier editing, simpler handle explainers, and much more.

Thanks to the #mastodon community for your continued support and feedback!

Excited to see quote posts go live on mastodon.social today! I'm very proud of the team's efforts to make this a feature that expands meaningful conversations while preserving author controls.

More details about this launch can be found in the post below and in the related threads.
