61 Meals, Smiles and a Day We Won’t Forget 🧡

What could be more beautiful than spending a weekend with children, sharing meals, laughter and a little bit of hope?

We had the vision, and you made it possible.

Last Sunday, October 4, 2026, we were in the Akpakpa area for our September action, part of our mission to provide 210 warm meals, water and support to women.

That day, our initial plan was to serve 30 meals, spend time with the children we would meet, listen to them, share some real-life experiences and introduce them to Bitcoin.

But once we arrived, things turned out differently from what we had expected.

The need was much greater than we had prepared for.

While we were getting the meals ready, an elderly woman approached us, and we were able to serve her a meal too. Her smile and gratitude touched us. It was a simple moment, but it reminded us why we do this.

Then we spent time with the children. We talked, laughed, played and shared experiences. We spoke about the importance of education and introduced them to Bitcoin. Beyond the meals, we wanted them to know that someone cares, that their voices matter and that there is more to this world than the challenges they face every day.

And then came the moment of serving the meals.

We had prepared ourselves to serve 30 meals, but by the end of the day, 61 meals had been served.

Yes, 61 meals!

We went beyond our initial target because we couldn't simply ignore the need we saw in front of us. It was more than we had planned for and, honestly, more than our available budget could cover.

But we did what we could.

We paid for the 30 meals we had initially budgeted for. After explaining the situation to the restaurant manager, she kindly agreed to give us credit for 20 additional meals. She also supported our mission by offering 10 meals for free.

That kindness helped us serve more children than we had planned, and we are truly grateful for it.

Each child received a meal, water and juice. We also shared a meal together, making the day even more special.

Where We Stand Financially

Each meal, including food, water and juice, costs 6,500 sats.

Here is the breakdown of the 61 meals served:

30 meals: Paid for by Hope With Bitcoin. 10 meals: Kindly offered by the restaurant. 21 meals: Still to be paid for.

The remaining bill is 136,500 sats.

Thanks to the support already received, we now have 36,500 sats available, enough to cover the cost of 5 meals and part of the outstanding bill.

That means we have approximately 100,000 sats left to raise to settle the bill completely.

We are getting closer, and we are counting on our Hope Builders to help us finish what we started.

Every contribution counts. Whether you can contribute 1,000 sats, 5,000 sats or more, every little bit brings us closer to our goal. You can also help by sharing this update with others.

Thank You, Hope Builders 🧡

To everyone who supported this action, contributed, shared our message or helped make it happen: thank you.

And a special thank you to the restaurant manager for her generosity and understanding. Her support allowed us to do more than we had planned.

We started with a vision to serve 30 meals that day. Together, we ended up serving 61.

This is what happens when people come together around a simple idea: helping one another, one action at a time.

Our September campaign is about more than numbers. It is about the children who ate that day, the conversations we shared, the smiles we witnessed and the people who chose to care.

We had the vision. You made it possible. We have 36,500 sats ready, and we need approximately 100,000 more to clear the remaining bill.

Let's finish what we started.

One meal, one conversation and one smile at a time. 🧡

#HopeWithBitcoin #BitcoinForGood #Bitcoin #Zaps4Meals

After the conversations, the education and the fun, it was finally time to give the children their food.

We were supposed to deliver 24 meals today, but once we arrived and saw the need, we ended up serving 61 meals in total.

One by one, the children came to get their food, water and juice. Some were waiting in line, others had already received their meals, and at some point we were all eating together.

We were able to pay the full bill for 30 meals, and the restaurant kindly gave us a reduction for another 10 meals. This means that we still have 21 meals to pay for.

We couldn't just stop at 24 when we saw how many children were there. We shared the meals first, and now we need your help to settle the remaining bill.

One meal is 6,500 sats. If you can help cover one or more meals, it will help us clear the remaining bill.

Thank you to every Hope Builder who made this possible. 🧡 61 meals served today. And we keep going.

#HopeWithBitcoin #Bitcoin #BitcoinForGood

Before we started serving the children, while we were preparing the meals, an elderly woman came to us and we served her. What touched me the most was the smile and gratitude she showed us. Here, you can see Mother Barbie handing her a meal.

It was the first meal we served that day, and seeing how happy she was reminded us why we need to keep doing what we do. The need is real, and together we brought a smile to someone who needed it.

Thank you again to every Hope Builder who supports us and makes moments like this possible. 🧡

210 Bitcoiners. 210 meals. ❤️

This month, our goal is simple: provide 210 hot meals and water to people living on the streets in Benin.

With every $5 contribution in Bitcoin about 6,467 sats we can provide one person with a warm meal and water.

There are two ways to take part. You can buy a meal yourself, take a picture, post it, and tag @Hope With ₿itcoin. We'll count it toward our goal. Or you can contribute, and we'll carry out the action for you.

Our goal for September is 210 meals. Right now, we're at 0.

Want to learn more about this movement? Check out our special campaign on Agora:

Spread the word. Repost. Zap. Participate.

Let's reach 210 meals together. One meal, one person, one satoshi at a time. 🧡

🎂🧡 Today is a special day at Hope With Bitcoin.

Today, we celebrate

What started as an idea has now grown into a community of Hope Builders and real impact supporting children, distributing meals and school kits, educating people about Bitcoin, and carrying out humanitarian missions across 2 countries.

But this is just the beginning. 🧡

Happy Birthday, Audel! 🎂

🇹🇬 Help Hope With Bitcoin get to Derby Digital!

We have an opportunity to be part of Derby Digital, happening on August 22 in Lomé, Togo.

For those who don’t know it, Derby Digital is a digital and tech gathering that brings together creators, entrepreneurs, innovators and digital communities to connect, share ideas, learn and create new opportunities in Africa.

And this year, Hope With Bitcoin will be there. 🧡₿

A huge thank you to @mercianoalia from Stack Wallet for offering us a free pass to attend. 🙏🏾

We said yes without hesitation.

For us, this is more than just attending an event. It’s an opportunity to represent what we’re building in Benin, meet other builders, share our experience using Bitcoin for social impact, learn from others and hopefully create new connections that can help us do even more.

But there’s one challenge:

We have the pass, but we don’t currently have the funds to make the trip.

We plan to travel from Cotonou to Lomé by road, stay for two days and return to Benin.

Our estimated budget is:

🚕 Cotonou → Lomé: ~$17 🚕 Lomé → Cotonou: ~$17 🚕 Local transportation: ~$8 🛂 Border & related expenses: ~$5 🏠 Accommodation: ~$25 🍛 Food: ~$17 💧 Miscellaneous & unexpected expenses: ~$8 🧾 Contingency: ~$20

Estimated total: ~$117

We’re not looking to raise more than what is necessary.

If you believe Hope With Bitcoin should be at Derby Digital, you can help make this journey possible. 🙏🏾

Every sat helps.

And if you can’t contribute, simply sharing this post with someone who might be able to help also means a lot to us. ❤

The pass is already secured. Now we just need to get there. 🇧🇯🤝🇹🇬₿

Hope in Action. Powered by Bitcoin.

Some moments are worth reliving. ❤️

Our days can be filled with worries, responsibilities and things to solve.

So today, let’s pause for a moment and go back to June 6, 2026 — our visit to the orphanage.

The children were singing, laughing and spreading so much joy. 🥹🧡

And their song was simply unforgettable:

🎶 “If you love Bitcoin, blow a kiss. If you love Bitcoin and you want to share it, if you love Bitcoin, blow a kiss!” 🎶

A moment of joy. A moment of laughter. A moment of love. A moment we will always remember. ❤️

This is what Hope With Bitcoin is about.

Creating moments of hope, one smile at a time.

Now tell us…

If you love Bitcoin, are you blowing a kiss too? 😘🧡

Little by little, the minutes fly by and time keeps moving. ⏳

And we are getting closer and closer to the 2nd edition of our school kit distribution. 🎒🧡

📅 First distribution: Friday, August 21, 2026

We are now at T-3 days.

The preparations are moving forward, the kits are ready… and soon, they will be in the hands of the children. 🙏🏾

3 days to go before turning sats into smiles. 🧡

#HopeWithBitcoin #Bitcoin #HopeBuilders

Behind every moment of silence, sometimes, something is being prepared. ❤

And while we were quiet, a new action was taking shape at Hope With Bitcoin.

🎒 The distribution of school supplies to 50 children is getting closer.

Our goal is simple: to help children who may not have the same opportunities as others start the new school year with a little more peace of mind, dignity… and above all, a smile.

Today, we have crossed the most important milestones. 🙏🏾

Thanks to our community, we were able to raise the funds needed, and the school supplies have already been purchased.

To everyone who contributed, shared, encouraged us, or simply believed in this initiative: thank you. ❤

You are the reason we can continue turning sats into real-world impact.

📅 Here’s how the activity will take place:

Friday, August 21, 2026 — First wave

We will distribute school kits to children we selected based on their families’ living conditions and circumstances.

Around 25 families have already been informed about the distribution.

We are also preparing for a small margin in case more children show up than expected on the day.

Saturday, August 29, 2026 — Second wave

A second distribution is planned at Bon Arbre Orphanage.

This second wave will also allow us to respond if the first distribution brings a larger number of children than we initially anticipated.

🎒 This distribution marks the 2nd edition of our back-to-school campaign.

In 2025, during our first edition, we were able to distribute 22 school kits.

This year, we decided to go further.

22 children in 2025 → 50 children in 2026.

Because for us, impact should never stay in the same place. It should grow.

And behind every school kit, there is more than just notebooks, pens, and school supplies.

There is a child who can start the school year with a little more confidence.

That’s what Hope With Bitcoin is about.

Turning the generosity of our community into real-world action. One child at a time. One action at a time. A little more hope, every day. 🧡₿

Thank you to all the Hope Builders who make this possible.

The next chapter, we’ll show you. 🤝🏾

Bitcoin gave us more than a new way to save.

It gave us hope.

Hope for a future where we have more freedom, more control, and more opportunities to build something better.

But at Hope With Bitcoin, we believe hope shouldn't stop with us.

If Bitcoin gives us hope, let's use it to give hope to others. ❤

FLASHBACK — August 10, 2025. 🕰🧡

One year ago today, Hope With Bitcoin took an action that would become part of our journey.

Do you remember what happened that day? 👀

What started with a simple action became a story of hope, compassion and impact.

Today, we’re taking you back to a special day in our journey. 🫂

Stay tuned. The story is coming… 🧵

☀ Gm Hope Builders

The sun has risen.
A new day is unfolding.

Getting out of bed, putting both feet on the ground, and breathing fresh air is already a blessing. 🙏🏾

Every day, thousands of difficult things are happening around the world.

And yet, we are here.
Standing.
Alive.
Breathing.

So let’s be grateful. ❤

And more importantly, let’s share this gratitude by turning Bitcoin into real hope for those who need it most.

Every new day is another opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child, a family, or a community in need.

We may not yet know the full extent of the impact we are creating together…
But one thing is certain: every satoshi matters. Every small act counts.

Let’s continue building hope, one person and one sat at a time. 🫂

Wishing an amazing week to all the Hope Builders and to everyone who chooses, every day, to make the world a little better with Bitcoin.

Have a beautiful and impactful week.

You’ve probably seen BIP-110 mentioned a lot lately on Bitcoin Note.

Maybe you’ve wondered:

“What exactly is BIP-110, and why are Bitcoiners arguing about it?”

Let’s break it down in simple terms.
No developer background required.

First: what does BIP mean?

BIP stands for Bitcoin Improvement Proposal.
A BIP is a document proposing a change, improvement, or clarification to Bitcoin.

So BIP-110 is a proposal — not a rule that Bitcoin has already adopted.
That distinction matters.

So what is BIP-110 actually trying to change?

At a high level, it proposes a temporary soft fork (roughly one year) that would restrict certain ways of putting large amounts of non-monetary data into Bitcoin transactions.

The goal is to reduce the use of Bitcoin block space for data unrelated to monetary transactions.

Why does this matter?

Bitcoin blocks have limited space.
When many users compete for that space, transactions compete through the fee market.

In recent years, Bitcoin has also been used for things like:
• Ordinals
• Inscriptions
• Tokens
• Other forms of on-chain data

These uses can consume block space too.

Supporters of BIP-110 argue that Bitcoin’s scarce block space should primarily serve its monetary function.

Their concerns include:
→ Higher transaction fees
→ More competition for block space
→ More data stored on-chain
→ Potentially greater pressure on the network

Their view is essentially:
Bitcoin should prioritize being money.

But there is another side.

Opponents argue that block space is a market.
If someone creates a valid transaction, follows the protocol rules and pays the required fee, why should the protocol prevent that transaction from using block space?

Their principle is:
Let users decide what block space is worth.

And this is where things get interesting.

The debate isn’t simply:
“Ordinals are good” vs “Ordinals are bad.”

It goes deeper.
It is about the philosophy of Bitcoin:

Should Bitcoin mainly be a peer-to-peer monetary network?
Or should it remain a general-purpose permissionless data layer, where different uses compete for block space?

There is also an important technical point:

BIP-110 is described as a soft fork.
That means the proposed new rules would make certain previously valid transactions invalid under the new rules (while remaining backward-compatible for nodes that don’t upgrade).

Because Bitcoin is decentralized, activating such a change requires broad coordination and acceptance across the ecosystem.

And that’s why you may see strong opinions, technical arguments, miner discussions and even talk about possible chain splits.

The question isn’t only:
“Is BIP-110 technically possible?”

It is also:
“Will enough of the Bitcoin ecosystem agree that these new rules should become part of Bitcoin?”

That is a much bigger question.

So, should you support or oppose BIP-110?

You don’t need to decide immediately.

First understand:
• What it changes
• Why some people support it
• Why others oppose it
• What it could mean for Bitcoin’s future

Because Bitcoin debates can get very noisy.
Understanding the issue comes before choosing a side. 🟠

If you find added value in this publication, spread the word by reposting or encouraging it with a zap.

Trust, but verify. ⚡

We recently came across the account @Maliki_Children and had a conversation with the team behind it.

According to the information shared, they are currently caring for 52 children in Iganga, Uganda including 21 orphans, while the others are street children in need of shelter, care, and support.

The conditions shown in their posts are deeply concerning, and the children appear to be living in extremely difficult circumstances.

We would like to kindly invite

and

or anyone currently in Uganda to help verify the situation on the ground if possible.

At Hope With Bitcoin, we believe real impact starts with transparency, verification, and community action. Once the situation is confirmed, we can discuss meaningful ways to support these children and help create a better future for them. 🤍

We wanted to connect with Bitcoiners from around the world, share our mission, build partnerships, find sponsors, and learn from one of the largest #Bitcoin gatherings on the planet.

Unfortunately, due to limited funding, lack of sponsorship, and visa-related challenges, our team was unable to attend this year.

But we are already preparing for next year.

Our goal is simple: represent the children, families, and communities we serve through Bitcoin and ensure that Hope With Bitcoin has a voice on the global stage.

If you would like to help make this possible, we invite you to join our journey.

To reduce our dependence on donations and create a more sustainable future for our humanitarian work, we are excited to announce a new partnership with The Bitcoin Diaries.

Together, we have launched #HopeWithBitcoin merchandise, including T-shirts, hoodies, bags, and other items that support our mission.

March is moving forward and our mission remains clear.

At the end of this first quarter, our goal is to support the Bon Arbre Orphanage with food supplies, while also organizing a Bitcoin education session for the children through fun activities like coloring and learning.

We are also working to complete the purchase of a dedicated phone to properly document our missions and share transparent proof of our work with the community.

📊 Current progress (March 18): 82,330 / 1,148,018 sats

Bitcoin is more than money.

In the hands of vulnerable children, it becomes a tool for freedom, dignity, and hope.

With Hope With ₿itcoin, we prove every day that Bitcoin can create real impact. ⚡️🧡

What if Bitcoin could feed a child, educate a community, and restore hope, one satoshi at a time?

This is the vision behind

.

In January 2025,

started as a simple idea written in a few lines:

Use the power and generosity of the #Bitcoin community to create real impact for people in need.

Not just talking about Bitcoin. But using Bitcoin to help people.

Today, that vision is slowly becoming reality.

Thanks to the support and recognition from

, nostr:npub10vsdn82fps4vwjaqxcpwj0nyync0cfrp2f5qlayrljh6d549gx5s0y9eap has been highlighted alongside inspiring initiatives like:

• @Flash • @Bitcoin Benin • @Bitcoin Mastermind

This recognition gives us strength to keep going.

Our mission is simple:

• Support vulnerable communities • Provide food and humanitarian assistance • Educate people about the fundamentals of Bitcoin

Sometimes during Bitcoin education sessions. Sometimes during humanitarian outreach.

Because learning and helping can go together.

We believe Bitcoin is more than:

• a digital asset • a store of value • a technology

Bitcoin can also be a tool for hope.

A tool that can bring opportunity, dignity, and empowerment to people who need it the most.

With nostr:npub10vsdn82fps4vwjaqxcpwj0nyync0cfrp2f5qlayrljh6d549gx5s0y9eap , we want to show that the #Bitcoin community can do more than build technology.

It can also change lives.

One meal. One education session. One satoshi at a time.

We are currently looking to connect with:

• Bitcoin companies • Foundations • Sponsors • Members of the community who believe in social impact

If this vision resonates with you, let’s connect and build something meaningful together.

If you believe in this mission, you can support us by:

• Sharing this message • Connecting us with partners • Zapping ⚡ to support our actions

Because sometimes a single satoshi can carry a lot of hope.

🏡 Bon Arbre Orphanage (Wednesday) 🏡 Cité des Anges Orphanage (Friday)

What we will do: ✨ Introduction to Bitcoin 🎲 Educational games 🍽 Breakfast, lunch, and dinner shared with the children

While we feed their bodies, we also plant the seed of Bitcoin in their hearts. 🌱
