Following my visit to

last week, my next stop was

earlier this week.

Ronnie, Mitch(the first vendor to accept #Bitcoin) & the team generously took an entire afternoon to walk us through the #Bitcoin Valley.

For those unfamiliar, the #Bitcoin Valley is a street in Kibera(Nairobi’s largest slum) where #Bitcoin is actively used as a medium of exchange.

Every vendor we interacted with and spent sats with was not only accepting Bitcoin, but was also well-educated about it. Many had old QR codes displayed, showing they’ve been accepting #Bitcoin for quite a while now.

We were able to buy fresh groceries, cold drinks & I even got myself a Man Utd old school jacket all paid in #Bitcoin

You can feel the impact #Bitcoin is having on people’s lives just from how warmly they welcome the idea of being paid in sats.

There’s a vendor training happening today that I’m excited to attend.

This circular economy needs more hands, so if you’ve been thinking about volunteering, now’s a good time to reach out and get involved

Yesterday was a breakthrough!

One of my biggest worries with the Save Starlight School project has been this: Will our 115 orphans and those who join in the future grow into employable, entrepreneurial, purpose-driven adults?

Traditional education systems often fall short. They rarely equip children, especially those aged 3 to 16 like at @OrphansofUganda , with the real-world skills needed to become change-makers. And time is ticking fast.

Yesterday at the Africa Business Heroes info session, I met one of the co-founders of MST Junior School, a school already building the kind of future I dream of: sustainable, skill-based education rooted in ICT, carpentry, music, engineering, and farming.

We briefly explored the possibility of franchising or knowledge sharing and agreed for a future meeting, for the first time in a while I felt hope rise.

Discovering mstjuniorschool.ac.ug genuinely lifted a huge burden off my shoulders(watch video below and check their website)

Shoutout to RachealKabs and @studentofbitcoin who were the first to help me realize that raising well-rounded children isn’t just about money and buildings.

Last week Afan & Edith led the children at

through their first commercial production of liquid soap!

As one of our sustainability models, the children are learning how to make & SELL the soap to the community, I’m really proud that they sold their first 40 liters and will be making more tomorrow.

The money made from these projects will reduce our dependency on donations while giving the children permanent life skills.

We have more sustainability models to unlock this year & next year;

2. Making Reusable Sanitary Towels(10%)
3. Maize Milling(20%)

Getting visas & crossing airports as an Ugandan 🇺🇬 is draining and it’s funny am getting used to it.

I get special security treatment & checks, my documents are verified by multiple people with laser scrutiny, I have to provide financial proof sometimes 😂

The origin of my passport automatically dictates my treatment!

In trying to pay for a last minute flight online (Travala didn’t have the particular flight, would have used #Bitcoin), my personal & business bank cards were rejected, though I had more than enough fiat there.

I only got to book through
