Oskar

Got genuinely scared by what I learned at BTC Prague about the bitcoin kidnapping gangs in Europe. One of the ways in which they find their targets is by looking up people who post about Bitcoin on social media apparently, so my first reaction was to remove all Bitcoin-related posts I had made. I then came to the conclusion that making my profile more anonymous would be the better strategy, since simply being on nostr probably indicates that one is a bitcoiner and the thought of not being able to post about Bitcoin just makes me sad.

Going forward as a community, I think the best thing we can do is to cultivate a reputation of being extremely dangerous to make every kidnapper know not to fuck with us.

Google is removing that from android soon sadly https://keepandroidopen.org/

Flat earth theory is not a psyop, its defiance

I hate to have to demolish the world view of all you round-earthers out there, but someone had to say it: the earth is flat. Don't believe me? Hear me out for a second.

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary ascribes the following meaning to the word flat (adjective): 2 a: having a continuous horizontal surface and the following meaning to the word horizontal: 1 b: parallel to, in the plane of, or operating in a plane parallel to the horizon or to a baseline : level

A man, woman, or child walking upon the earth is attached to its surface by a gravitational pull directed towards the earth's center of mass. This pull defines the direction "down". Any movement perpendicular to "down" takes place in the horizontal plane. The person in question will, in other words, be walking on a flat surface.

This may seem like a word game, but it is actually sort of serious. The earth only seems round to an observer that is outside its gravitational field. But if that observer were to enter its gravitational field, he would see it fold out into a flat surface. It is plausible that every world, such as another universe, would seem round when observed from the outside. But it is only when you enter a world and become affected by its physical laws that you can judge its true shape.

Hello

I wonder if you could give me advice on how to publish my book "The Self-Organizing System" on Alexandria. I have a pdf and a markdown version of it, but it contains a lot of essential images, which are not in the markdown version. Best regards, Oskar

The increase in CO2 did not even slow down during the pandemic despite the travel restrictions and reduced economic activity globally. Makes me wonder what restrictions would look like that actually does have an effect.
