Silberengel

I'm moving all of our Nostr specs from kind 30818 to 30817 and updating the project documentation, accordingly.

Does anyone use a stylus to write their posts? It's so interesting... Feels so natural.

Get new tablet. Install Zapstore. Install Amber. Done.

I'm not showing the 3D objects in the default feed yet, but you can add a custom tab on Alex to see them. I'm thinking they're mostly good for embedding in 30023 technical articles or 30040 research papers, but we'll see.

Y'all will probably just use them for video games and not for architectural or biochemical diagrams.

Yeah, so, I actually put some effort into the profile pages. 🤣

Sometimes, I am such a girl, fr.

This is sort of like Doctrine, but for events. I adopted some of the Nostrability scheme stuff, as well.

Feel free to use it for your client or relays.

zapstore seems to be broken or slow, so here is the new #Imwald release, that integrates the new kind-catalog repo

https://git.imwald.eu/silberengel/imwald-android/src/tag/v0.5.16

Why is the wiki merge request kind 818 an unclassified kind number? Shouldn't it be 1818 or something?

GM. #NostrWiki is up.

Still read-only, but pretty cool.

Imwald server, my Unfold repo, and my PC are now running PHP 8.3.36. Still have to update all of our Linux computers at home and our church website.

No rest for the weary, lately.

So, how's your latest kernel going?

I think it's funny when people complain about all of the messaging designs we have, like this is some competition between Telegram and Signal and WhatsApp.

This is Nostr, bitchez. If there are 15 kinds of DMs, then your app and relay can just support all 15. It don't fucking matter.

They were always just groupies following their influencers over here and then back over there. That was always painfully obvious.

The few of us who came for the tech remain unperturbed.

Another reason to hate PDFs:

People don't realize that they are easy to generate and generally unsigned, so they give people a false sense of security that they are valid, verifiable documents.

You don't realize how deeply software engineering work is embedded into you until you do work that isn't software engineering and everyone is like, Wow, I can tell you were in software engineering.

Very nice. 🤩

Thank you, my XMR Secret Santas. 💖

Watching the established parties scrabble to keep the AfD out of leadership, when the voters clearly wanted them to lead, is a real comedy of errors.

Is anyone using Wisp iOS? If so, do you like it? Can you see kind 1111 comments?

I deleted Jumble Web. I will only be maintaining Imwald Android, going forward. Alexandria is the web app I am going to focus on, with my limited time.

wss://pipe.imwald.eu has been upgrade to #newlay v0.3.52

#cordn chats that use pipe as a coordinator now have their own blossom space.

Nostr sucks, now. Is this thing on? Testing, testing... Nostr has never been better! That chat is too centralized. Stick to the relays. Interop is broken. It's so over. Meetup in May. Who still needs a room? Who needs more than one kind? Who needs kinds, at all? The devs don't care about users. Follow suggestions? My feed is a bit dull, lately. Once we get the threading fixed, it'll be awesome. I can't see this note in my thread. Anyone know why? Aaargh! How do I get rid of these bots? Love it here! Keep meeting so many cool people! He says that chat is private. That don't look private to me. Here are my vacation photos. I'm leaving! This time I really mean it. Can you see me? Hello? I'm new here. Is this the right room for an argument?

Hundreds of people on dozens of Nostr clients, all interacting with each other. 😍

Saturday mornings are apparently when Hubby and I are gonna sit next to each other in the living room and code. 💘

So, am I the only one using Tor and I2P relays?

I've removed the library from https://jumble.imwald.eu/. I will also be removing the heatmap and interaction map, the advanced editor, and the meme picker (but not the gif picker; that's awesome and I use it constantly).

Nostr Advanced Editor will be coming back as a separate web app that will also allow for book publishing.

Gave #Alexandria a style update. Should look cleaner and be more intuitive, now. And you can now download Nostr publications as EPUB, PDF, or Asciidoc files.

Next, I'll bee removing the library menu items from Imwald Web and Imwald Android. Use Alex or Bookshelf for browsing and reading, please. Imwald will retain the ability to interact with and render publications, don't worry. 😊

Added a verse-styling toggle that turns separate verses into prose. The "..." menu is then opened from the verse number.

#biblestr #christian

Should be sped up now. Sorry about that.

Okay, next iteration of the #Alexandria prototype is live. It's slowly getting there....

https://gc-alexandria.imwald.eu/

Finally managed to carve out a few hours to work on my #Alexandria prototype. Still have to review the changes

made to the Elixir relay.

Two more weeks to max out my Cursor Ultra and then it all slows to a crawl when I start my day job.

All I can run on my laptop GPU is:

• qwen2.5-coder
• mistral 7B
• phi3

😭

I spend more time working on my remote server than developing anything at this point, tendency increasing.

Someone hacked my gitea to mine #Monero on it.

No punchline.
