imagine that the blocksize war was won by big blockers

few years later blocks are 10,20,30 mb, they’re full of spam, and running a node requires a 5tb hardrive

and somebody comes along proposing to impose a 4mb block size limit in consensus

would you have called it censorship? An attack on Bitcoin? a betrayal of neutrality?

the bip110 debate has exposed a basic confusion about censorship

censorship is preventing someone who follows the network’s rules from using the protocol

changing the rules of the protocol (bip110) is not censorship

was segwit censorship? taproot? the 2010 inflation bug fix?

rule changes are explicit, universal, and uniformly enforced

censorship is targeted & discretionary

whether you support bip110 or oppose it, you should at least know what censorship means

core devs could end this in 5 minutes by announcing that they’re going to change OP_RETURN default back to 80bytes

Here’s a summary of the Core vs Bip110 debate:

CORE: spam is bad but there’s not much we can do about it except encouraging spammers to do it in the least harmful way possible. Transaction fees are the main defense against spam.

BIP110: Spam is an existential threat to the survival of Bitcoin as money and we should do everything we can, including soft forks, to reduce spam as much as possible and discourage spammers.

Saw a disturbing message in Club Orange this morning and realized how important is for some Bitcoiners to have a real Bitcoin friend, ideally one you can meet in person.

You don’t have to go through a bear market alone.

As the CEO of Club Orange, my duty is to serve our customers and our shareholders.

As a father and husband, my duty is to serve my family.

Both of these duties requires me to defend Bitcoin.

So here's some thoughts about Bitcoin:

Saylor is right that there are multiple camps trying to steer Bitcoin in their desired direction.

The Technologists (core, ordinals wizards, citrea, and co.) think bitcoin is fundamentally just a database, most of them probably don't even own bitcoin. Their goal is to turn bitcoin into ethereum 2.0 where all kind of experiments and new technologies are layered on top of bitcoin. If they win, I believe bitcoin will die rapidly.

The Capitalists (saylor, walton, and all the bitcoin treasury companies aficionados.) think bitcoin is "digital capital" a financial product that should be exploited for fiat gains. Their goal is to turn Bitcoin into another Wall Street product: "We convert Bitcoin into money". "Our goal is to outperform Bitcoin". Essentially they want to turn Bitcoin into fiat. If they win, I believe bitcoin will become another stonk and captured by the government.

The Maximalist, the camp I find myself in, think bitcoin is our only hope to separate money from the state, that it should be used as money, that fiat is a cancer to the world and that the ultimate goal is not to get rich, but to enrich the world. I believe this was Satoshi's original vision for bitcoin, a mission much greater than NGU.

These 3 camps cannot coexist and they are colliding as we speak (bip110, attacks on saylor, adam back, etc). We are living in the most consequential time in bitcoin history so I urge you to pay attention.

In a few years it will be obvious which camp has won but there might be nothing left to fight for.

Club Orange is now the first AI-enabled bitcoin Lightning Wallet.

I think you’ll like it.

RECAP FROM VEGAS 2026:

sleep very little did not gamble listened to 1 talk spent a lot of sats met 100+ Club Orange members had dinner with strange characters ran the first Club Orange Private event

Until next time.

How often do you go to a Bitcoin meetup?

When we launched the Club Orange Lightning wallet 14 months ago, we set out to build a faster, more social way to move Bitcoin. Today, after processing over 5 million transactions, we’re handing the keys back to our users.

We believe Bitcoin is only truly revolutionary when you have absolute control.

What this means for the Club Orange community:

• True Self-Custody: Your keys, your coins. No middlemen. No permission required. This is Bitcoin as it was intended to be.

• Interoperability: Your wallet is now fully portable. Use it across 100+ Spark-enabled apps or bring an existing Spark wallet into our ecosystem.

• No Limits: We’ve officially removed the 1M sat cap for balances and transactions.

While the "under the hood" tech has evolved, the experience you love remains the same. Features like GeoZap and ProximityZap works exactly as before, now backed by the security of self-custody.

What’s next?

Soon, you’ll be able to withdraw your sats to an on-chain address and buy Bitcoin directly in Club Orange.

To our incredible members & supporters: thank you for trusting us with your precious sats and for joining us on this journey. 🙏

Nobody wants to read AI-generated books, watch an AI-generated movie or listen to an AI-generated song.

Grok can search Nostr notes?

If you’re in the US and on

check your zaps, I’m giving away some books. 📚

having some money is nice, but in the end only 2 things really matter:

• your health
• your relationships (including the one with god)

The man, the legend, the myth.

Pizza man. 🍕

Yesterday I drove around LA visiting merchants that accept Bitcoin to onboard them to

One of those is a pizza place that gives a 70% discount when paying in Bitcoin. Yes ,70%.

I couldn't meet the owner so I left a voicemail and my business card.

This morning I found out he signed up with a lifetime membership and added an entire section about Club Orange on his website.

Nobody talks about this enough, Bitcoiners are the most generous group of people you'll ever meet.

there's a simple way to know if we have reached AGI:

we train a model on pre-2008 data only

ask it to solve the double-spending problem in a decentralized & permissionless way

if it invents Bitcoin from first principles

we have AGI

Satoshi Test > Turing Test

just so we're clear:

miners are the employees of the bitcoin network

the employers are:

• people who hodl bitcoin and pay miners via inflation (block rewards)
• people who use bitcoin and pay miners via transaction fees

nodes are neither employees, nor employers; they are the enforcers of the employers desires

the end

AGI is probably the single most bullish catalyst for bitcoin. The world is gonna get weirder, faster, and trust in institutions will erode. The need for neutral, permissionless, censorship-resistant money will explode

AI agents cannot sell bitcoin.

AI agents are gonna acquire all the Bitcoin.

We don’t need 1 company owning 1M bitcoin.

We need 1M companies owning 1 Bitcoin each.

First time in 5 years I couldn’t find parking at the farmers market and went home empty handed.

The economy is on fire.

i've been testing a new payment flow at

all morning, and every time i got to the point of choosing fiat or bitcoin i picked bitcoin, not because of ideology, but because i didn't wanna type a credit card number

bitcoin is, objectively, a superior payment system

it just needs to be everywhere

all a man wants is a couple of great friends and a good wife

if you remove all the flaws from fiat you get bitcoin

if you remove all the flaws from gold you get bitcoin

Is this the right way to use #nostr?

The silver lining of me spending days explaining to Apple & Google what is Nostr is that eventually i’ve learned a little trick:

You can just resubmit an app update until you find a reviewer that doesn’t care.

The amount of time Apple and Google wanted us to remove Nostr login has been very eyes opening.

Yesterday I vibe coded a website where you can create multiple bitcoin wallet at once with just 1 click:

https://vaultgen-bitcoin-wallet-generator-1071858616988.us-west1.run.app/

Nostr is everywhere.

I'm grateful that my job requires me to hanging out with other bitcoiners

For the

rebrand I spent almost 100 hours studying naming & logo. Here’s everything I've learned.

Rules for a great name:

• Length: 4-6 letters
• 2 syllables (netflix, apple, tesla, google..)
• To make a name more memorable use these letters: Z,K,X,Y,W
• Starting with an early letter of the alphabet (A,B,C,D,E,F,G) it’s a huge advantage (I still haven’t figured out why)
• Avoid the letter H like the plague
• If you have to spell it, it’s a bad name
• Repetition helps (TikTok, Coca-Cola)
• A name’s only job is to be memorable, it should not describe what the company does
• A name is really a canvas for the user to paint whatever they think about your product

Rules for a great logo:

• A 5 years old should be able to draw it
• A logo should evoke an emotion, it should not tell what the company does
• The simpler the better
• Should work well at all scales
• More often than not, a logo should just be the first letter of your company name
• Do you actually need a logo? (uber, samsung, wework)

The end.

I don’t want a 50-year mortgage.

I want to abolish the FED.

For those interested, here's why we're upgrading our name from Orange Pill App to Club Orange:

We looked at the data: 3 word names are significantly harder to remember. We saw consistent misspellings (peel, pilled, up..) affecting search & discovery, and the word 'pill' was creating brand friction we couldn't ignore.

Why Club Orange? Simpler, more scalable, easier to remember and harder to misspell. It aligns better with what we're building: a home for Bitcoiners, everywhere.

I’m going to miss Orange Pill App, but it’s time for a new beginning.

Everyone wishes the bought bitcoin at $10k

But they won’t buy at $100k even if they know it’s going to $1M

Why is that?

Owning a home isn't the American Dream anymore.

Owning a Bitcoin is.

People always ask me how I came up with the idea for

, so here's the story:

there is something extremely peaceful about being 100% in bitcoin and not having to care or think about any other assets

the most mind-blowing fact about the fiat world is this:

if all debt was repaid there would be no money left in circulation

every time i explain this to somebody they always look me sideways and i can see their brain breaks in real time as they realize is true

easiest way to orange pill somebody

the people of New York should buy bitcoin instead of voting for socialism

• $0 VC funding
• No bitcoin celebrities behind it
• Completely paywalled (no free trials)
• 19k paid members
• 90 countries
• Almost $1M in revenue

You can just do things.

Yesterday, for the first time, I received an email from an human which was obviously written by AI and I debated for a long time if I should reply at all.

Eventually I did, because I knew the human would at least read the reply.

What struck me is how quickly authentic, human-to-human interactions are becoming scarce, and therefore more valuable.

Now that we’ve rolled out Video Calls, we've reached feature parity with the mainstream messaging platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp.

But here’s where we go beyond: every chat and group chat on OPA has a built-in zap feature, which means you can instantly send and receive SATS with the people you’re talking to, with just one click.

Something you’ll never be able to do on WhatsApp or Telegram.

The magic isn’t Calls or Chats... it’s Bitcoin. ⚡️

I bought my first Bitcoin in 2017, and by 2020 i was a Bitcoin Maxi, the problem? Nobody wanted to hear about it. Friends thought I was crazy.

This wasn’t just my experience, it’s a widespread issue in the Bitcoin community.

The reality is that existing social platforms don’t solve this problem, bitcoiners have to use 5,6,7 different apps just to connect with each other or find local events.

And that’s why I've built

- a social network entirely dedicated to Bitcoiners.

99% of the world have no idea bitcoin just made a new ATH

think how early we are

Posting on X = 0 SATS

Posting on #Nostr = 2,772 SATS ⚡️

After spending 10 years thinking about Money & Bitcoin, here's the simplest explanation I can come up with:

Money is a technology to move Value across Space, Time, and Scale.

Value is the utility humans derive from Goods & Services.

Value is highly subjective, and it changes across Time and Space.

Unbeknownst to them, Economists have defined these functions as:

• Store of Value (Time)

• Medium of Exchange (Space)

• Unit of Account (Scale)

Throughout History, no monetary system has managed to satisfy all 3 functions of Money at once. This is where the idea of Backing Money and the necessity of separating Money and Currency come from.

This trade-off can be described as a Money Trilemma: you can optimize for 2, but not all 3.

Gold is great at Time & Scale, but not Space.

Fiat is great at Space & Scale, but not Time.

Until the invention of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the first form of Money that successfully excels at all 3 functions simultaneously.

It achieves that by perfecting all the properties of hashtag#Money, with no extra room for improvement:

#Bitcoin is:

• Infinitely Divisible
• Instantly Portable
• Forever Durable
• Mathematically Finite (what is mistakenly called Scarcity)
• Perfectly Fungible

Bitcoin is the final Evolution of Money.

The World just hasn’t figured it out yet.
