𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻?

The Bitcoin network is under constant attack, as the recent Coldcard hack and Liquid Network incidents have shown. Attackers are becoming more sophisticated, with increasingly powerful tools at their disposal. That means those of us who hold bitcoin also need to become more sophisticated about how we protect it, and use the right tools to do so.

Very happy that

has joined us as #Jobtober sponsor.

At #Bitvocation we're very careful to only work with aligned sponsors that offer what our community actually needs.

Most of our community members aren't typical jobseekers. We notice this especially in our #POWLab. They are all builders of some sort. Everyone is working on an app or a service or an educational programme. But often it's hard to get a project off the ground, when you're not a developer, or you don't have the funds to pay one.

That's where #2BuildLaunch comes in - a very new company with a very different business model.

#2BuildLaunch builds #Bitcoin ventures with you. You bring the idea, market insight, and network. They bring the team to build and launch it, with no upfront investment required.

Instead of hiring developers, you build together and share the upside through their Proof of Work Equity model.

They’re Bitcoiners too, and they love turning good ideas from fellow Bitcoiners into businesses that solve real problems.

Contact them to discuss your idea here: https://btcjobs.bitvocation.com/2bl

Give them a follow to say Thank You for helping us make Jobtober free 🙏

Tons of #Bitcoin events coming up in September, and we’re getting ready for #Jobtober!! 🚀

https://open.substack.com/pub/bitvocation/p/jobtober-is-coming-back

If you're running a #Bitcoin business from Europe, you've probably noticed that accepting bitcoin payments has become considerably more complicated as the final MiCA transition deadline passed in July.

We've been a happy #Strike customer in Europe until July, but it's become so bad that we have to leave Strike, because their API simply doesn't work for us anymore and automated payments are completely out the window.

We basically have to "attest" every incoming payment before it gets credited, which disrupts the payment process (and the whole purpose of lightning fast payments) and the customer ends up getting an error on their side until we entered the required KYC info about them. This is the case even for zaps of 21 sats or less. It's ridiculous. (I assume the same thing would happen with any other custodian.) The problem is that a) we do not have the info we're supposed to enter about our customers, and b) we consider it none of our business.

To solve this, we have now registered #Bitvocation in Wyoming, U.S., to be able to transact more freely in bitcoin and remove all that unnecessary friction (and maybe become a Strike U.S. customer).

I had thought of doing this years ago, but the process of registering a business in the U.S. as a foreigner seemed way too bureaucratic and tedious (and required sending a fax - yes really!!) So I never did it.

But with this new motivation and necessity I looked into it again and found Bizee.com - a registration agent - and the whole thing went surprisingly smooth and fast!

I know many of our European Bitvocation followers might be in the same situation and have side businesses that need a legal home - so I just wanted to share and recommend this agent.

Depending on what your situation is, there might be many other benefits to having a business in the U.S., so it's worth looking into. For me, as a digital nomad, it solves a lot friction, and it gives my business a home, while I don't have one.

Bizee.com was recommended to me, so I don't seem to be the only happy customer. Check it out, if you need a reliable solution for your business.

So interesting! I had no idea that many #Bitcoin companies are actually “non-profits”, and that this could be a viable business structure.

A win-win for all parties, even.

Several people have advised me to set up #Bitvocation as a non-profit, in order to increase chances for funding. I found this quite odd in the beginning, because I always thought non-profits are charities. But after listening to this episode, it makes a lot more sense!

Ofcourse there are lots of pros and cons to consider. Big thanks to all the people who are generously sharing their insights on this with me 🧡

Do these #Bitcoin #hiring numbers hint at a maturing job market that expands beyond coding — or are we simply seeing a late-cycle effect?

Could the +6% YoY growth in hiring be linked to increased Bitcoin startup funding? Or will we see a dev vs. non-dev role reversal again in the next bear market?

Bitvocation’s Annual Bitcoin Job Market Report highlights:

⚡️ +6 % YoY growth in unique job listings, reaching 1,801.

⚡️ 154 Bitcoin‐only companies hired in 2025, with no single top player.

⚡️ 74 % of roles were non‐dev roles

⚡️ 45 % of jobs were remote.

Kirubai Brian grew up in Kenya, surrounded by a system that punished the honest and rewarded the corrupt — a “man-eat-man society,” as he calls it. Then Bitcoin came along. And everything changed.

It opened his eyes to how broken money really is… and showed him that the only way to win this game is to opt out entirely.

Today, Kirubai is part of @LightningNews, helping Bitcoiners around the world stay informed and connected.

💡 In his words:

“Bitcoin has not just changed my world view; it has given me hope — a fighting chance to make it right.”

July turned out to be the second-strongest hiring month this year. https://bitvocation.substack.com/p/bitcoin-job-market-update-july-2025

#jobstr #bitcoinjobs

We're starting something new in the #POWLab today.

#findabilityprompts

The main purpose of the POW Lab is to help #Bitcoin professionals become FINDABLE by recruiters, employers or clients.

No matter how good you are at what you do - if people don't know you exist and that you're not only great at what you do, but also an amazing person to work with - they won't feel inspired to add you to their team.

Reputation is key in Bitcoin. Reputation is signal.

Sending cv's is the hard way to get hired. Sending signal is the smart way.

The clearer your signal, the more visible and findable you'll be.

Bitcoin startups prefer reputation based hiringt through their networks, before they resort to cv based hiring. So becoming intentional about the reputation you're creating is very very important.

This week we're starting with the prompt below. All of the weekly prompts aim to provide a litle inspirational spark and food for thought., to help our members:

📣 Reflect on what exactly they're looking for 🌍 Dare to be more visible in the Bitcoin space 🤝 Connect with the people they actually want to reach 💡 Show what they can offer 🛠 Build - and most of all share their proof of work

Feel free to answer this week's prompt in the comments. And join us in the POW Lab if you want more of this 👉 https://bitvocation.com

Become the signal amongst the noise!

#jobstr #bitcoinjobs #bitcoincareers #bitvocation

The #POWLab is on fire this week!! 🔥 We had three new #Bitcoiners join us in the span of just a few days and they're exactly the type of people we love to attract! And with all their skills in marketing, project management, tech support, etc. - they are exactly the type of candidates #Bitcoin startups are looking for.

Here's just a few sound bites from their introductions in the POW Lab group:

⚡ "Once you fall down the Bitcoin rabbit hole and you start to identify yourself as a “bitcoiner”, your entire world view changes. And this is proof that there are a lot of us out there that want to focus our energy into a bitcoin economy and a better world."

⚡ "...makes me question the value of spending my energy managing unpleasant dynamics when I could be channeling it into something more meaningful."

⚡ "It wasn't until COVID and lockdowns that I really became orange pilled. I read the Bitcoin Standard and being quite honest, it changed my life. I started to purchase BTC p2p and non kyc from the likes of Relai, Pocket and Peach. I learned how to self custody and become my own bank. I run my own node and I have 2 solo miners connected to the datum mining pool working away 24/7. Where possible, I buy produce with lightning via the Zeus wallet connected to my node. I'm always reading some kind of BTC related book and I follow the likes of Bitcoin University and BTC sessions religiously. The only thing missing from my life is a proper BTC job."

📊

Our short term goal is to hit 100 Bitcoiners in our #talent pool. It's a 6 month membership, so the number of members will fluctuate as people come and go. But next year we're going for 500 🚀

(On the other hand, I also love having just under 30 people in the group, so that everyone can enjoy more personal attention. 😃 #dilemma)

📈 It’s very closely linked to the Bitcoin market cycles and jobs come and go with the ups and downs.

📊 Some teams hire too aggressively, only to notice later that they miscalculated and have to let you go again.

Be prepared.
