That’s it. I’m starting a new Bitcoiner trend

Maybe this is a bit Toxic Maxi of me, but Instead of posting pictures of steak, we should be sharing how we’re using Bitcoin as money, and supporting Bitcoin merchants and the Bitcoin circular economy That circle grows. Till eventually… like a supernova. The gradually then suddenly we talk about.

This is my latest order from

. and yes, I’m a repeat customer! ✨

I’m setting up shop with available products for zap out. And display products from other Conduit Merchants, directing shoppers to their stores.

With

, I don’t have to spend time figuring out which vendor I owe, how many sats to, and more time being present.

I think of Conduit Event Markets as a portal: your shop can be there even when you aren’t. Someone can bring your products to a meetup, and you can receive the payment directly without being there to generate a Lightning invoice.

It’s hard to contain my excitement, because THIS is the way to create the future we want to live in. Open commerce, open protocols and grassroots movements.. because of US. As my friend,

says. “the stronger the nodes, the strongest network” 🥂🧡✨ nostr:nprofile1qqs8nxvpg9shg0ez0yqx4vgvlkpm6vadlu3ushjan5y5nlwkp783jqgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerfw36x7tnsw43qz8rhwden5te0vdhkuer4d96z6cm0denk2efwvek8jtnyv4mqk5xza5 nostr:nprofile1qqsfmys8030rttmk77cumprnsqqt0whmg0fqkz3xcx8798ag8rf8z3spzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejqhuykwy nostr:npub1000000ke62wjupvvgmws686fe9el9vt3fmmuvkul4pc5hk5jkt8qmq6sym nostr:nprofile1qqsgsrukw9z6ke448kwuy7w5f2tj9w58t53jculnmars0508n3pndnsprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yurvv438xtnrdakszxrhwden5te0wfjkccte9eekummjwsh8xmmrd9skcq4ywaj nostr:nprofile1qqs2zqnq524z7zfdsh3vpwpwjh4vt7xxp6sec68y3xr3ndvve23ru0sppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyv8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvf6kjmry9udpfrx2 nostr:nprofile1qqsvxvygrc58dqupmk9al5n5xswu5rzcstpfhpjzaf9ustm4vvnytyspz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv35hgar09ec82csfkvnza nostr:npub13096ymu0vj9cxnzvvrca74dvh06d73g5xntavq9eh9y8ez4rmkcsrhxxph nostr:nprofile1qqsfp2qjpydppsq9sw5c05z6pnmms48vf3lpwq5d487jcqklq75rt0spz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerfw36x7tnsw43qzxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9e3k7mnyw45hgtndv9exket5dkxpmq nostr:nprofile1qqsygmv9ckavju9jsayvtzsvsf0cu7xvm095ujsxgj2ghwuz7mnf5wcpzemhxue69uhk7unpdenk2urfd3kx2u3wdaexwqg6waehxw309ac8ymm2v43hgttn9ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5txgyjd nostr:nprofile1qqszayfsvgw7fzsm239zc2etfgh9h8cg4lj88amn59v5atg8rhetl7spp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzw45kcequkgl29 nostr:nprofile1qqsraq3q9p0rfd7aygftd6mzvjxyut8lm24j7aqd4m44qsz7nzplghgpypmhxue69uhkummnw3ezu6r9v9m8jun4vf3x2unnd3shvefwvdhk6qgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcdynjed nostr:nprofile1qqswp94gnm4epqsgjkndl4lnd8krzdj5u4mzuppdtxksdymkty63g7gpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghxcctwvseqj8h0 nostr:nprofile1qqs8hpy7lftqfdvd2rzpjcmmnpecgldlj4cgr4fxzdkr5jdhx47dv9cpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vp39eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mgpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vpj9eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mgdjp48d nostr:nprofile1qqs9vw4rqad40et7400gf39337zyv6vhfvxwr43c608n9as3jh9jjvgpzamhxue69uhkxmmwv36kjarvxghxvmre9ejx2asprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm0dej826t59ekkzuntv46qskpujt nostr:nprofile1qqs0m7vn2q3zrccumrqkxaepzmdpkx20dgu6m4vyx5crd9v5w8htdtcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerfw36x7tnsw43qz8rhwden5te0vdhkuer4d96z6cm0denk2efwvek8jtnyv4mqa3z8dj nostr:npub15ymzglvv4alrp06q85eqqmawegxf688v0gtqwhjpgtp0a4k2mesqshkwwx

A year and a half ago, Jeff encouraged me to spend more time in the world I wanted to live in.

"The first free market that ever existed is already being built" - @JeffBooth

We talk about how we’re helping build that free market through Bitcoin, Nostr, and people coming together to create the world they want to live in.

The community I’ve found and the work I’m doing with @conduit_market have changed my life.. and together, we can change the world.

In this clip, I ask @JeffBooth about something I’ve heard:

“Is Nostr dying?” but I see a whole world growing.

Jeff Booth put it into perspective: if you measure Nostr as a Twitter clone, how much of what’s being built are you missing?

Dude, What’s a Bitcoin Bodega? ⚡️

A neighborhood store, with a Bitcoin twist. ⚡️

hosted the first Conduit Event Market at

in Portage Park, Chicago.

Merchants brought the goods. Shoppers browsed. Payments went directly to the sellers as customers zapped out with Bitcoin.

Real people, real products, and a community doing business together. That’s a Bitcoin bodega. 💜

CONDUIT.MARKET Commerce for a more open internet.

https://blossom.ditto.pub/f83d7faf04c61aa86fb5783029bd3b3f30e166afdec93efd42aa166abcac3bdb.qt

Hey everyone! 💜 Check out our updated guide to connecting to Conduit on the web!

This is a much simpler way to get started for now, especially if the wallet and signer connections have felt confusing. Just connect your Nostr profile through Soapbox Signer, then add a Lightning address for receiving payments. You don’t need to connect the wallet itself to use its Lightning receiving address! ⚡️

💻 We recommend getting started in Chrome on a computer while we work through some mobile connection issues. Updates are coming soon to make connecting from your phone easier, too!

Here’s how to get started:

1️⃣ Set up your Nostr profile

Already have a Nostr account? Use that same account!

If you’re new, visit https://ditto.pub and choose “Sign up” to create your profile.

Save your secret key, called an nsec, somewhere secure. It controls your account, so never share it with anyone, including anyone offering support.

2️⃣ Install Soapbox Signer

This browser extension lets you connect your Nostr account to Conduit without entering your secret key into Conduit itself.

Install it here:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/soapbox-signer/nnodjkgakfpkckcnbacpcjbpmlmbihdd

Once installed, import your existing Nostr account into the signer using your nsec.

3️⃣ Connect to Conduit

Our website:

https://conduit.market

Go directly to the merchant portal in that same browser:

https://sell.conduit.market

Choose the browser extension sign-in option and approve the connection through Soapbox Signer.

4️⃣ Add your Lightning receiving address

Choose the wallet where you want to receive customer payments, then add its Lightning address in Conduit.

A Lightning address usually looks like an email address. Your chosen wallet needs to support one. This lets eligible checkout payments go directly to that wallet without setting up a separate wallet connection.

Then you’re ready to start setting up your shop! 🛍️

If you get stuck, ask here in the community. We’re happy to help, and your feedback helps us make getting started easier for everyone! 💜
