Pretty fucked up by Bitcoin Magazine to be running facial recognition on attendants. All over a lighter?

Enjoy your state sponsored conferences now. Pulled my speaker position as soon as I heard about trump.

Won't catch me at another conference again.

It makes me sick how much Bitcoin the US steals and plans to continue to steal. Quite frankly, your Bitcoin is not safe, just look at their success rate. They don't fail.

I've had a list of like a million things to do and no better time than skipping a conference to do them. Nobody else is getting normal work done anyways lol.

Absolutely zero FOMO about the conference, though really cool to see all of the releases and announcements.

Will likely not attend another bitcoin conference again, was fun while it lasted.

Max and I cover everything under the sun! Was a much overdue conversation, really enjoyed it.

Kudos for the quick and thorough investigation. Godspeed.

Basically blastr built into a client directly now. Glad to see clients catch onto one of the two main reasons why I built it in the first place.

I still think real private information retrieval is where we should end up on the read side. It really is a concern that your client developer is also your main/only relay where they can see EVERYTHING you do here.

Bolt12 is intriging but we've already had 95% of the UX for ages.

Paying someone more than once, contacts, attaching messages to payments.

Glad other wallets have caught up I guess.

People always ask me if I need 128GB of ram in my laptop.

Like no company in Texas is taking Juneteenth off, which I just heard is a federal holiday now? Iconic.

Creatr is really cool, they're doing some unique things to try to paywall and control the spread of notes to other relays, like putting in an expiration tag.

Unfortunately not all relays obey this and some clients rebroadcast notes anytime they interact with them. So it almost makes it unusable as a paywall.

Really unfortunate. To me, it just confirms that Nostr is only ever usable as a mass broadcast messaging system. Which is okay, but just kills the whole idea of paywalls, "small relays", etc.

Trying to figure out what balance I want between general personal/highly technical notes and "promotion" notes. Unfortunately I can't just "go dark" as much as I would love to.

The cool thing about Creatr is that you can use the same clients to see posts, whether you're subscribed or not.

Also it's sort of bare level PoW. 1337 sats per month, add creatr.nostr.wine to your relay list, and see the rest of my notes.

Going to be using Creatr exclusively for awhile, and keep most of my content behind one of the tiers there: https://creatr.nostr.wine

Really cool to see how much as been built up over there. It doesn't work with every Nostr client but luckily they have their own site for it to help bootstrap the adoption of subscriptions and paywalls. I believe any client that supports AUTH will allow you to subscribe, add the creatr relay ( wss://creatr.nostr.wine ) and see my content.

Nice work on it @npub18kzz4lkdtc5n729kvfunxuz287uvu9f64ywhjz43ra482t2y5sks0mx5sz and @npub1qlkwmzmrhzpuak7c2g9akvcrh7wzkd7zc7fpefw9najwpau662nqealf5y - really excited to try this out.

I just bought an ebike from MOD Bikes with Bitcoin/ecash in Austin and really enjoyed the experience.

Wrote up my thoughts on the integrations, which spans from onboarding (

), to merchant ( Strike, cc

), to rewards (Oshi) to wallet (

).

Nostr search is already better than Twitter search. I can never find a mutual follow by full name over there....

If you love having LN channels, DM ben to test a new LSP.

Otherwise I'll remove LN from our wallet.

Really excited about more private cloud computing setups like this.

Tried deleting all of my nostr notes. There was probably like 10k of them across notes, replies, quotes, reactions, zaps, etc.

It did not work very well, all nostr clients handle it differently and a lot of nostr relays do not respect deletes.

Keep this in mind.

My sleep schedule hasn't been this fucked since college. BitBlockBoom was a banger. I was basically only there from sunset to sunrise 😂😅😴
