Gemeinwert is built from two German words: gemein and wert.
Before gemein became associated with “mean” or “low,” it meant common, shared, belonging to the community. Wert means value or worth.
So Gemeinwert is not charity and not central planning. It is shared value that stays verifiable: records, responsibilities, signatures, open standards.
For BIM, that means the value created by planners, engineers, owners and operators should not disappear inside a platform account.
Common value needs common rails.
