Have spoken with a lot of people about the incoming bans on social media in Australia, and the viewpoint seems to be—
- They're not actually doing that are they?
- There's no technical way to do that
- If they do that I won't comply
- If they make me comply I'll do a workaround
- They're not going to enforce it anyway
That's either a hopeful viewpoint, or sleepwalking.
Nostr is well positioned as it seems to be incompatible with the legislation as I understand it.

I am just catching up on how Australia wants to ban social media for under 16 year olds.
Will they try to ID all internet users?
How will they define social media?
Are they truly going to punish a 15 year old for connecting with their family on Facebook?
