Self-custody means you remain in control of your funds.
The hard part is making that feel simple. That’s the actual product.

Your identity shouldn't belong to a platform. Npub follows you across every Nostr client. Bitcoin for money. Nostr for identity.

Your fingerprint can do more than unlock your phone.
On Zappr, it can be the starting point for your Bitcoin wallet too.
That’s what a passkey does here ,no seed phrase to write down, no password to remember, and no one else gets access to your keys.
Just one familiar action, with a lot happening behind the scenes.

An open-source contributor closed three critical issues from APK tester feedback:
- Passkey sign-in now leads on the login screen 'Create new wallet' sits behind a confirm that explains what it does
- NWC now travels with your identity as a NIP-78 record, NIP-44 encrypted to your key
- Recovery phrase screen now actually answers the question: passkey is your everyday login, 12 words are the escape hatch when you need to recover access. Real testers. Real feedback. Real fixes. Zappr keeps getting better. ⚡

Agent is back. 🎉
"abeg check my balance" → Pidgin response, real wallet balance.
Mobile is coming too. Android build is done, we're testing before Play Store submission. Early testers can try it through our community.
Big week. ⚡

Genuine question for anyone who's built a Bitcoin cash-in/out flow for Africa: How did you handle the compliance side? We went the licensed-partner route — MavaPay handles the NGN rail so we don't have to become a money services business ourselves. Curious if others went a different direction and what that looked like in practice. #nostr #bitcoin #lightning
