Your money is being redesigned.
Programmable. Trackable. Expiring.
Do Not Accumulate imagines where that road ends: a Digital Euro programmed to lose value every month, inscribed permanently on Bitcoin.
42 imagined CBDC banknotes. Two currencies.
The Digital Euro: 21 editions, each a single self-contained HTML file, fully on-chain, losing one unit of value per month over a 21-month demurrage cycle.
No two editions ever show the same value at once.
Look closer.
The EU flag becomes an eye watching every transaction.
The clouds dissipate like the value, like legislation drafted behind the public's back.
Twelve stars turn as a clock face …
The bill promotes itself.
55 rotating system warnings, 55 ways a currency can be weaponized, each reframed as a feature, convenience, or security.
Confiscation becomes "adjustment". Surveillance becomes "security". Control becomes "participation".
This future is closer than most realize.
The ECB has committed EUR 1.3 billion to the digital euro. First issuance planned by 2029. The preparation phase closed in October 2025: the point of no return.
The public barely registers it.
The critique lives on the system that runs counter to it.
A four-layer recursive architecture on Bitcoin: artist, shared assets, currency, 21 editions. Each note reconstitutes fully on-chain, no external dependencies.
The medium is the argument. #bitcoin
Cornerstone editions 1 & 21 sit on rare sats whose blocks were mined on real EU CBDC milestone dates:
· Negative interest rates intro (2014) · eIDAS 2.0 intro (2024) · ECB preparation phase close (2025) The IRL policy timeline, held on-chain beside its imagined consequences.
21 editions. 21 value states. 21 months.
Each a mirror of Bitcoin's hard cap of 21 million.
D.N.A. spells Do Not Accumulate. Demurrage is its inner code.
