RELAYING TO #NOSTR

https://btchel.com/event/btchel-2027/

New short essay now up on #nostr and

only! cc/

All of my Tallinn gangsters 🇪🇪 See you in 2 weeks: 20 Feb 2026 at 17:30 in Rahva Raamat (Viru Keskus) I will be doing a presentation of my book "A Stoic Resurrection." The book itself is currently only available in English, but the presentation will either be in Estonian, English or both, depending on what languages the people that show up speak. Hope to see you there 🫡

https://rahvaraamat.ee/et/sundmused/raamatu-a-stoic-resurrection-esitlus?id=849

The event will also be livestreamed on Facebook so you can still tune in even if you can't make it. I'm thinking maybe I'll be able to get

to come along with me and do a #nostr livestream as well 👀

Zaps are the main selling point of #nostr for the general public. I would argue that the risk of being deplatformed is from legacy social media is not something that’s relevant for an average “content creator” because they would never do anything that would get them banned anyway. They are used to playing by the rules, in some sense it is their very specialty since their success is related to how well they “please” the algorithm.

So the main differentiator between nostr and other social media is (aside from the bad UX), the existence of zaps - a P2P exchange of value within a protocol for exchange of information. Should the culture of zapping die, nostr would likely remain a very marginal, fringe part of the Internet.

My hope is to see, in the not so distant future - for example, YouTube videos and nostr vlogs titled “How I make $100 a week creating content on nostr” - and for that NOT to be an overstatement, but a quite achievable thing for anyone who is artistically inclined or an expert in their respective field. And yes, I agree, “100k sats” sounds a lot cooler than “$100,” but come on, let’s be real: the normies aren’t there yet. They denominate in fiat, so we have to meet them where they are.

It's Father's Day in Estonia and the Nordic countries this Sunday. In honor of all the fathers out there, you can enjoy a 10% discount at Kontext Store of Value with the promo code "father" (valid until 11/11/2025) 🤠

PS. I just published a couple of "FREE SPEECH NOSTRICH" t-shirt designs... have a look, maybe something catches your eye 👀

Honestly ever since I got on #nostr and have to revert to "liking" content on legacy social media I feel like I'm depriving these people of what's rightfully theirs. There is literally no value in a "like" and there is literal value in a zap. I can't unsee it.

Yes, it is true... Whitepaper Books is now an official reseller of "A Stoic Resurrection: Notes from the Journal of a Modern Stoic" 🤠 I'm stoked for the collaboration, always stoked to see Bitcoin-based businesses, and triply stoked to be one of the first guinea pigs (although I prefer the term "trailblazers") for the Attestr app - a protocol for signing agreements on #nostr WAGMI.

I have several copies of my first book "A Stoic Resurrection" and some other stuff from the newly redesigned KONTEXT.STORE of Value available P2P at

this weekend in Helsinki.

If you want something for yourself or are keen to become a resale partner, let's connect! 🤠

This is something that's been in the back of my mind for quite some time actually. I'm still in my early 30's myself, but I have 3 younger siblings and none of them have a particularly well-developed interest in freedom tech and freedom money. I haven't attended any big #Bitcoin conferences yet, but at the Bitcoin meetups I've been to, I've definitely been one of the youngest participants. I will be going to Baltic Honeybadger 2025 in Riga and BTCHEL in Helsinki soon - but due to steep ticket prices (in addition the general lack of interest by the younger generations) I don't expect to see many people there who are younger than I am.

Why are there no gen Z Bitcoin influencers? Why are there no college students on #nostr bitching about their woke professors or sharing torrent links to their $200+ textbooks? Why are there no high school students trying to stack sats by posting stuff here or on

?

It's a bit of a mystery to me TBH, and one of the things that makes me slightly uncomfortable/bearish moving forward. Freedom money & freedom tech don't mean anything if people don't utilize them. Bitcoin (and nostr, for that matter) is a tool, it's not an investment, an ideology or an end. It is the means.

Why younger people fail to see this is unclear. Has the "education" system been efficient enough in its brainwashing that people don't see the creeping authoritarianism & slavery behind it? Have people succumbed to big brother and given up trying to fight back?

Time will tell.

I will continue betting on the Love and Freedom movement, nevertheless. Bitcoin is an ark and everybody is free to get on board. But first, they have to understand why the ark exists and what they are risking if they choose to ignore it.

I still had some free real estate on my 6+ yr old laptop... now it's fixed. 🤠 #nostr

MAN. I absolutely despise taxes, bureaucracy and the financial gibberish that goes along with all of that. Any time I have to fill out a form I have to Google WTF those questions even mean. Any time I have to fill out a form I feel like I want to start a riot.

The "You can just do stuff" meme needs to get out of the #Bitcoin & #nostr space

We need real freedom, in the real world.

I hope you all also noticed how the flowers in the photos represent a couple of our favorite types of freedom tech... The #nostr purple on the left (photo taken in Tallinn, Estonia, 2022) & The #Bitcoin orange on the right (photo taken in Auckland, New Zealand, 2024) #flowerstr #bloomstr #momstr 🤠

Which one of these 7 ideas would YOU like to see made a reality and released into the Public Domain for everyone to use and enjoy? 👀

BTW the easiest way to get your voting rights is to sign up for a SATOSH.EE account - you can either directly log in via #nostr (thanks to the awesome plugin by

), X or Google; or you can simply register with just a username and an email address :)

Voting period ends soon - 31 March 2025 at 23:59 GMT so don't procrastinate!

2022 was an incredible and absolutely pivotal year in my life's journey. Yoga, journalling, psychedelics, calisthenics, friends & sunshine can really make a difference...

Here's the Original Trilogy of Kontext's Writings:

"The Basics of Yoga (AKA The Beginner's Guide to the Human Experience)" (published December 2022) QUOTE: "In the present, we are projecting our intentions and our energy into the future through what we do, say and think. That’s the real manifestation." "Life Is Meaningless" (published January 2023) QUOTE: "That is not to say life can’t have meaning or shouldn’t have meaning. "Unified Creation Energy Theory: God is Energy; Expressed in Layers" (2nd draft published April 2023) QUOTE: "The whole of our reality is based on energies. We are harnessing, directing, conserving and converting our energies. We, along with the rest of reality, are no more than energy fields ourselves. The whole universe is frequency, vibration. That means it’s all music. That means it’s all dance. Embrace it." FULL TEXT: Medium: https://medium.com/@mckontext/unified-creation-energy-theory-ucet-8814041ed94c

We #nostr because even if Elon Musk is the godfather and savior of free speech and succeeds exceedingly in all of his efforts in protecting it, then while he may become the metaphorical Marcus Aurelius, whoever comes after him could very well be Commodus. #plebchain #grownostr
