Interested in the history of Jungle/Drum and Bass music? Well I've started to re-host some old pirate radio tapes on my PeerTube server (which I just fixed).

Anyway, here's producer Bizzy B of Impact FM back in 1992 with dub plates galore. At this time this would've been filed more under breakbeat/hardcore but this particular vibe is more inline of what became Jungle by 1993 (although Top Buzz, amongst others were referencing Jungle Techno back in 1990).

More tapes will appear over the coming days...

I made another D90 Mix... Part 1 was exclusive to supporters of The Kali Mera Show but literally any motherfucker can download this and enjoy... Slap bang in the middle of your face. Usual rules, old records, airhorns, SFX, self hosted etc.

Being the noise I want to hear in the world.

Had to get something off my chest on today's stream, a bit of a rant but it needs to be said and I stand by it! If you're interested in Drum and Bass/Jungle music it's worth a listen. If you can take a couple of minutes out your day it will be most appreciated!

New blog post - This time going to early 1992 and the mighty Rush 92.5 FM.

As promised...

This one's a banger! Bizzy B is a legend of Drum and Bass and as this tape fully demonstrates, he was there since day...

These tracks got me so hyped back then. No one down my way was up on the ruffneck drum and bass sounds. Luckily I got quite a few of the Brain Records tracks on vinyl (some on white label) thanks to Joel at Pryme Tyme in Lewisham.

I was getting some DJ sets at this point and would confuse the hell out of people when I played stuff like this. Fuck them! n00bs lol.

Recorded in John Fisher Street, Wapping, East London, summer 1992.

For Jungle heads... Uploading a Bizzy B set from early 1993 (or possibly late 1992) from Impact FM.

Brain Records were killing it then!
