Its sad that we'll never know what happened this morning in the parallel world and alternate reality where the Green Party defeated Labour in Holborn.

Would Labour still have announced they're going to open oil-fields in a world already warmed by 1.5 degrees?

As I say, sadly we'll never know.

We do know that opening the oil fields will contribute towards that warming, that it won't reduce energy costs for UK citizens, that it won't increase energy independence, and that it will create fewer jobs than a similar investment in renewable energy industry and that those jobs will be more dirty, dangerous, and bad for the employee's heath.

So why do it?

One can only assume The Labour Party donors must benefit in some way.

Hahhahhaa. 😆

The Labour party are utterly determined that they will obliterate themselves by proving themselves to be run by an executive committee who will not tolerate anything but extractive neoloberal capitalism,

They are a party against their own members.

Andy Burnham has been blocked from standing as a candidate for an upcoming parliamentary by-election in Gorton and Denton by Labour's ruling body.

Group of Labour MPs urge No 10 to be tougher on migration to fend off Reform

Oh look, it's the Labour party saying "Reform is correct, you shouldn't vote for them, but Reform is correct and have accurately described all your problems"

The more Labour accept the framing Reform offers, instead of arguing against it, the more they ensure a Reform victory.

When Nigel Farage is the prime minister, it will be because the Labour Party agreed with them when they lied that immigration causes everyone's problems and is bad for the country.

It'll be because when Nigel says "Refugees are the cause of house price inflation" they say "Yes, we must do something about refuges" instead of "Bollocks, rich landlords cause house price inflation, we should tax landlordism"

It's hard to underestimate just how awful terrible a job the Labour party is doing of diffusing Reform's lies.

😔
