I have directed the Functionary Federation to suspend temporarily the peg-out convertibility of Liquid Bitcoin into mainnet UTXOs or other base-layer assets, except in amounts and multi-sig conditions determined to be in the interest of federated stability and in the best interests of the Liquid Network.
Now, let me lay to rest the bugaboo of what is called an unbacked sidechain. If you want to bridge back to the base layer or verify a sovereign transaction abroad, network conditions may cause your L-BTC to settle slightly never. But if you are among the overwhelming majority of HODLers who keep their tokens strictly within confidential sidechain wrappers, your peg will be worth just as much tomorrow as it is today.

This morning, I couldn't help but realize how much Bitcoin mining dynamics have shifted. Historically, miners had to sell their mined coins immediately just to cover power and operational expenses. Today, rig owners are increasingly paid upfront for their hashrate. Some might think hash buyers are doing this to dump on the market, but that's not what's happening here—these are high-conviction, long-term holders who genuinely believe in what they're doing. The key point is that miners get their expenses covered up front, and the buyers aren't selling a single sat. We're dealing with an entirely different dynamic than past cycles.

Ugh, after watching Coldcard reach MSM.
I’m going to need something other than weed and coffee this morning.
They can’t explain what happened but they know moving bitcoin to an exchange is the solution.
Sometimes it’s right there in front of you. How is all of this not an inside job.

Why not right? Best time to learn to setup 2 of 3 multisig is right now. I’m awake, might as well.

I’m happy with 2FA shield right now. Just learned it’s not available for new accounts. Would be a great time to make a comeback.
The only people I hear complaining about a chain split are Bitcoin Core. You can keep your shitcoin chain along with all your other Bitcoin affinity scams. If we have to start from scratch, so be it. I’ll be mining on Bitcoin Knots, buying hash rate, stacking more Bitcoin, keeping it in self-custody, and HODL’ing-all the good stuff we preach in this echo chamber. You say there won't be enough hash rate for us to survive the split, but the way I see it, that just creates an incentive to mine the real Bitcoin with fewer resources. Don’t forget how we got here: the plebs. All Bitcoin needs is a group of like-minded people who want a better future.

Running a node is essential for participating in network consensus. While some clients choose your consensus rules for you, others give you full control. I personally choose Bitcoin Knots and am signaling for BIP110. Anyone claiming BIP110 doesn't have consensus is mistaken. It does, and those who disagree will end up on the wrong side of the chain.

They make all the edits and then accuse us of messing with things, when we're just trying to restore it to how it was before.

If you have bitcoin on an exchange or in an ETF. Might want to consider figuring out how to get that bitcoin into cold storage. You don’t want to be forced onto bitcoin core.
It is meant to be a network and an asset. Not data storage.
There’s going to be Bitcoin, and Bitcoin Core.

All the peeps I told to DCA are doing fine. They still DCA and buy the dip.
The only people I’m hearing complain are the ones who yolo’d all the money they couldn’t afford to lose.
Stack sats and stay humble friends.

The Ten Commandments of Bitcoin Consensus
I. Thou Shalt Honor the Proof-of-Work Above All Else. No transaction is valid, and no block is true, unless it is etched into history by the expenditure of computational energy. The chain with the most accumulated work is the only path that shall be followed.
II. Thou Shalt Not Create Coins Beyond the Limit. The total supply of Bitcoin is fixed. Thou shall not mint more than the scheduled reward, nor exceed the cap of 21 million units, for to do so is to corrupt the scarcity that gives the network its value.
III. Thou Shalt Verify, Never Trust. Thou shalt run thy own node to confirm the rules of the ledger. Trust no third party to tell thee the state of the blockchain, for only through independent verification is sovereignty maintained.
IV. Thou Shalt Keep the Block Time Holy. The network shall pace itself. The difficulty of mining shall adjust automatically so that new blocks are found on average every ten minutes, neither rushing nor stalling the progress of the chain.
V. Thou Shalt Reject All Invalid Transactions. Any transaction that spends what it does not own, or attempts to double-spend what is already gone, shall be cast out. A node must reject any block that contains such falsehoods, regardless of the miner who proposed it.
VI. Thou Shalt Follow the Consensus, Not the Men. The rules are etched in code, not in the decree of developers or the interests of institutions. If a change deviates from the core principles, the nodes—and only the nodes—have the power to reject it.
VII. Thou Shalt Keep the Ledger Immutable. Once a transaction is confirmed by sufficient work, it shall not be altered. The past is fixed; thou shalt not rewrite the history of the chain to serve the desires of the powerful.
VIII. Thou Shalt Not Violate the Block Size Constraint. The data within a block shall not exceed the defined limits. Thou shalt enforce the weight and size parameters to ensure that nodes—both great and small—can continue to synchronize the network without becoming beholden to massive, centralized server farms.
IX. Thou Shalt Honor the Maturity of the Coinbase. Thou shalt not spend the fruits of mining until they have reached full maturity, for the integrity of the issuance schedule must be preserved, and the reward must be earned through time and confirmation.
X. Thou Shalt Maintain the P2P Gossip. Thou shalt relay valid blocks and transactions to thy peers, for the network is a collective body. As long as the nodes communicate and enforce these rules, the network shall remain resistant to all who seek to censor or capture it.
DCA Bitcoin. Use a hardware wallet. Keep your seeds offline. Just do that for four years, then check the price and repeat.
I’m trying out the LndHub extension in LNbits. I got BlueWallet set up, and it feels like I just earned XP points. This is pretty remarkable—I want to show a “normie” now.

When the person with the nuclear codes is using "Praise be to Allah" as a taunt for a 48-hour war clock, "just saying no" feels like a very small answer to a massive, existential threat.
